Flynn gave credit to Jimbo. .....He is at Kansas, he still has a chance to develop one.
LOL, at position development strawman, of course Jimbo gets cred.
Miles has never been a QB coach, only OL and TE.
This is like saying Saban developed Tua, or Ed O instructs Burrow's footwork and release.

He wouldn't be in the NFL had Les not moved him to WR

He was used more frequently his first two seasons, then his numbers dropped.

Never figured out why they couldn't utilize him later as they did earlier. He just disappeared his Junior season, and didn't have nearly the touches his Sr season.

I know no one wants to hear this but

Sheppard in Canada’s system would have been insane.

he was suspended to start 2011, Beckham ended up starting for him and never really looked back.

also, Crowton leaving hurt Shep. we threw more screens under the Wizard than we did under Stud/ Kragz.

He would have been great at the jet sweep, no doubt about it

He could have been a WR and got him the ball in other ways (jet sweeps, wildcat packages, bring him in motion and line him up at rb). If all Jordan Jefferson was going to do was run, Shep could do it better anyway.

That requires an innovative offensive mind that find easy to exploit players talent. Something Les and his OC seemed to lack at the time.

Shepard in the wildcat with Trindon in motion and Hill or Ware at RB as first fake handoff with a pass option. RBs threw more passes than Shepard. Les was about the 3 yards cloud of dust.

He should have had 75-100 carries a season. He was a monster running the ball from shot gun. Easily his best spot

Quit saying he was underutilized and realize that he knew that he was never going to be a NFL QB. If he would have taken the Pat White route, he could have been a really good college QB on an option team, but then wash out of the NFL immediately. He worked hard on learning how to play wide receiver and play special teams. He had no wide receiver skills, but learned for 4 years. He was a great special teams player and that kept him in the NFL as he continued to work on being a wide receiver. If he was underutilized at LSU it wouldn't have taken him 4 years to get any real playing time at receiver.

Give Shepard all the credit for swallowing his pride, working hard, learning a new position and making a decent NFL career instead taking the route of the countless other option quarterbacks who had good college careers, but no NFL careers.

Don't rember any of his backs averaging only 3 yards a carry.

To be honest, RS completed less than 50% of his passes in his high school career.
