Took a deep slant 51 yards for 6! Showed off that speed we rarely got to see

ETA: Damn someone beat me to it. Admins, delete this for me.

Guy couldn’t catch. Other NFL caliber WRs had no problem under Miles.

I wish we could have seen what he could have done at QB in an offense that could have utilized his athleticism. However, he is making NFL money because of Les, not in spite of him. Les changed him to WR to get him to the next level.

What's really sad is I saw it, but initially just assumed it was Sterling Shepard. It didn't even cross my mind that Russell Shepard would have scored a TD. I realized who it was when I looked on this board.

Congrats to Russ.

Heck of a TD considering it was just a 5yr slant.

He could have been a WR and got him the ball in other ways (jet sweeps, wildcat packages, bring him in motion and line him up at rb). If all Jordan Jefferson was going to do was run, Shep could do it better anyway.

UR a dumbass.
He wasn't SEC QB material and Miles directed Shep on the right career path.
Good to see he's still in NFL on that advice, cuz it woulda never happened as QB.
Geaux Shep!

Which HS QB, recruited and developed by Les, was SEC QB material?

Miles wasn't a QB coach, but Flynn spent majority of time with Les, as did Mett, and RP fits your criteria.

Russell Sheppard reminds me of the Giles phenomenon. Wouldn’t be surprised if that kid found a way either.

We gave them both so many chances...

That’s almost as many as he scored at LSU.

Flynn gave credit to Jimbo.
RP seriously?
Mett JC!
Just admit it you got nothing.
He is at Kansas, he still has a chance to develop one.
