Tbh I’m proud of how the team fought back

We walked into a lions den against a bloodthirsty team hungry for revenge. I think we all knew we would have to weather an early storm but they ended up throwing a hell of a haymaker. Down 17-0 with a team full of transfers we could’ve folded but this team fought back and nearly won.
This shows not only the culture lane had built but the football Character this team has. I bet goin forward we will be on the winning end of a lot more of those type of games excited to see how this team responds against another team we have a bone to pick with in A&M we owe them after that embarrassing Death Valley beatdown last year.

I just rewatched some of the end. We should have kept Leavitt in at the goal line and used two plays to score and go up 28-24.
I’m telling you that our defense was playing well by then and I really think there’s a good chance we either stop them before scoring or take the lead to end the game

Agreed we fought back and fought back hard. Unfortunately it feel short due to Sam missing wide open guys and baker forgetting we just spent an entire quarter dominating by bringing heat.

I agree bro we absolutely needed 7 on that drive we were down 21-24. Settling for a FG felt like ole Miss grabbed the momentum back. If we took the lead that stadium would’ve gotten restless and the pressure would’ve been squarely on Miss . Our defense was finally playing fast and physical at that point I think they would’ve rode the momentum to maybe another stop or worst case if they still give up a TD your only down 3. Poor crunch time execution between the 3rd down call and jumping offsides leading to ole Miss going for 2 spoiled the comeback

It’s lost in the loss, but I am, too. I think a few more games under the belt for the staff and the team and we’ll be right back in the discussion when Alabama and Texas come to BR.
Kiffin and CWJ will have plenty of film to work with Leavitt on. As badly as the board has reacted to Leavitt, Kiffin didn’t seem that concerned about his play from what I can tell. That tells me he knows it’s fixable.

I was very happy to see how they came out in the 2nd half and got back in this game. It was awesome to see but it is terrible to see them not the payoff to fighting back into this game.
It was also great to see the game plan change by the coaches in the 2nd half.
OL and SL10 have to get better though.

It truly is baffling baker opted to go back to soft zone when we fought back by bringing the heat and playing man coverage. The soft coverage was getting eviscerated all night he should’ve abandoned that coverage completely just like he did in the 3rd quarter

The failing to get a TD to go up hurt us but that stadium was tight. They had the WAOM going after their kicker missed.
I will give Pete credit for having massive balls to go for two. If our line doesn’t jump and we stop them at the 1. We are marching down to win it. Instead we were in a pretzel because we had to score and get a two pointer without our massive 6’7 monster

We seriously had them figured out on defense from the point of our first touchdown on. They could not stop us from moving the ball. And then we screw up twice down in the red zone and don’t come away with enough points. And with Trinidad, you just can’t let that happen. Overall, we are the better team and the lights were coming on more as the game went on. Really hope we get to face these guys again in the playoffs.

Disappointing loss but not meltdown worthy like we’ve seen from some one here. Team was sloppy but showed a ton of grit to get it back to tied in the 4th.
Things obviously need to be cleaned up and addressed, but that wasn’t the end of LSU’s hopes by any stretch.

You sure about that? Our OL got handled all night and our DL was not effective enough in pass rush. The better QB obviously favors Ole Miss.

We basically threw away the game tying TD too. 3rd game into the Lane regime. Remember Saban lost to his players at LSU when he came back with bama the first game. If we folded at half I would be very concerned, but there’s a lot to take away from the second half.
