If they do this is the first I’ve seen it. Obviously if it’s a bad hit the guy would be evaluated, but I’m not sure about this one.

"Go get a sticker and be quiet"
Sounds like something Urban Meyer tells his players.

I haven't seen much discussion of it except for some people joking that the 45 yards they gave us was our most productive offense that they gave us. I thought it was BS myself. But I was glad it happened cause I was thinking ok, maybe we can get something together offensively with the backup QB. Maybe our coach will take what the refs gave us. But nope. It didn't help us at all so it just ends up helping stupid Alabama.
I'm rooting for y'all to get this overturned so y'all can beat their asses. I'm tired of them. Living in the Birmingham area makes it worse. But has made me love y'all with the billboards.
I don't see how it is any worse than a single digit Alabama win. I mean they only won by 10 2 years ago, and last year they only won by 14. This LSU team is better, and what is the difference with the 2017 and the 2016 Alabama team with only Hurts and Tua switching halves that they played in? Once they had to play real teams in November that weren't scared, they got exposed. LSU will expose them on November 3rd!
I try to go to all the State games, I thought the Saturday Night in Baton Rouge experience was amazing even with the rain! Man there's nothing like that Tiger Band either. I'm going to have to tape your game to see if you guys win or not. I'll be at the State Louisiana Tech game that they set for at the same time for some reason. Yeah we suck, but I'll support my team no matter what. Most of y'all are like that. That's why I probably respect y'all more than any fanbase in this league. Y'all believe, fight, and don't take shite. I wish some of that would rub off on our soft arse fanbase. Hailstate! Beat Alabama!

I think the refs made him leave the field to sugarcoat the targeting call....it’s all part of concussion protocol..player must leave the field.. Fitz felt like he was ok, pride might have come into play but he only left for one play and returned to the field...I’d like to know what did they ask him or do as part of concussion protocol evaluation ...seems all they might have asked him was if he was ok...

I got pissed off all over again watching that. 2 separate unsportsmanlike penalties for that harmless celebration. And all 3 enforced. fricking shitshow.

Which official threw the flag?

When I saw him walk over to "comfort" fitz, I knew he was looking for a way to call it targeting. The drama of ushering him off the field was just stagecraft to make it look like he was shaken up. Fitz looked confused about being walked off the field by the ref, and even wondering if he had to leave or could he just remain and play. He's a tough kid, looked like he felt fine except for not being able to convert many 3rd down plays .
He wasn't out long.

did anyone ever get an answer as to how two players doing the same celebration get 2 penalties for the same act rather then just one?
in the grand scheme its not that important but it could have cost us that game giving them 45 frickin yards
i was under the understanding it was against the rule to apply more them one dead ball penalty unless it was two clearly separate acts by different players

Refs won't force a player out because their hand is bleeding. In a game earlier that week a QB's hand got stepped on and was heavily bleeding and he was not forced off the field by the refs.
