That smoke detector ad is not funny.
I nearly hurt myself in a frenzy looking to see which of my smoke alarms was going off and trying to identify the source of the smoke/fire, only to realize it was a commercial when the ad ended.
My blood pressure is unnecessarily elevated.
I approve of the message, but there's got to be a better way to communicate it than that.
