Thanks for the update. I sit in the South Endzone and did not see the flag but stayed because of the confussion and it appeared to me that the official were discussing something. A friend in the North Endzone definitely saw the flag dropped on the play.

From the previous spot which was the two yard line. He wouldn't have gotten in from the two on that carry.
Ball was on the 1 YL after the option play.

Not trying to justify but you need to get your "facts" straight.

As for the helment thing, if they penalized LSU for that, they would have to penalize the Tenn. players for running onto the field, many of them with their helments off. Of course, given the situtation, they are not going to throw a flag for either one since everybody thought the game was over. Show some common sense dummy.

I clearly saw a flag. I was screaming at the people around me that there was a flag as they were starting to leave.

I was curious about that too, and also, what about the LSU players tossing their helmets? Should that be a penalty, or was it okay because the clock said the game was over?

the officials could have called 20 similar penalties on both teams at that point. T-Bob just happened to be the one the camera caught.

Correct. The officials will not flag the offense for a post-snap penalty on the last play of the game (which everyone thought it was), if the offense doesn't score. The game is over anyway, The no-call for that penalty is not reviewable, unlike illegal particpation by the defense. The game cannot end on a defensive penalty, but does end if one is called on the offense.

Wouldn't LSU still get another play if there were off setting penalties?

If Dooley was any kind of coach- he would have won that game. He is terrible.

LSU was very vulnerable and it was a change to get a signature win.

You sure you watched the game??

LSU was indeed set.. T-Bob threw his helmet off after the time expired and wasnt the only person with no helmet.. UT players also had no helmet. The game was presummed to be over..

What happens with off-setting penalties??

Does the game end, or do they run another play from previous spot?

Yep.
Just watched it several times, freeze frame. Ridley and the rest were indeed set before the snap. And the helmet most certainly came off after regulation had expired.

Still bitter about losing to LSU in the 'Dome.

There are treatments for that...

Another one with the same crap? Read my post history before and after that game.

LSU was a superior team against Ohio State and earned the win. No sour grapes from me and I've stated it every time some dumbass tries to use a game from 3 years ago against me.

BTW, good luck against Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas and probably Florida. You can probably pencil in at least 3 of those as losses.

responded to this in another forum...

So much misinformation here. I was at the game and there were at least 2 flags thrown in the endzone. Here is the only pic I can currently find online of one of them:

LINK

Go to picture #32

Now, an LSU player did throw his helmet but a Tenn. player did as well on the 15 yard line. Not to mention Tenn. bench players ran on the field BEFORE the LSU helmet was thrown. See here: LINK

Finally, if you are suggesting that wasn't PI in the end zone then you're wrong again. See here: LINK

Update: Heres the audio from the LSU Sports Network. You hear them CLEARLY say a flag was thrown moments after the game seemed to be over. LINK
