Talk ONLY about TE fumble and Greedy PI

All the other talk allows the preponderance of the discussion to look whiney. The spot of the ball, the spike of the ball, and the others should not be discussed.
It detracts, even psychologically subtracts, from the two most valid concerns with the officiating.

These are the two plays even my Aggy family members say they got wrong terribly wrong.
And sorry, but that same "incomplete" is 100% ruled a TD if the he breaks the plane of the EZ before we knock it out, yet in the field of play it's an incomplete. Ok, right.

Defense had 6-7 chances to end the game, but didn't.
We should know by now we're never going to get help from the refs so finish the game yourself and stop blaming others.

1000000000% AGREE.
Our fanbase and coaches look horrible right now because we are whining about calls that were 100% correct calls.
The only one I would add to your list is the false start non-call. That was horrible and they got almost 15 yards on that play.

The defense caused an obvious fumble that LSU recovered to win the game in the second OT.

Not only did the defense cause an obvious fumble, they also stopped the two point conversion that eventually won aTm the game because....

It makes no sense why that play was not reviewed…It was a potentially game ending play, so why not review it? Why review this spike and not review the fumble?

not 100% the TE fumbled. end of story!

Considering the game is over and in the books, and nothing any LSU players, personnel or fans can do to reverse the results, ANY discussion of questionable calls at this time makes LSU fans look like sky-screaming SJWs, "It's not FAIR !!1!"
Bad calls happen, get over it and move the frick on.

You can acknowledge both, actually.
As an LSU fan, we can (and should) acknowledge that our offense screwed us by not being able to get 1 more first down.
We should also acknowledge how WIDE OPEN our defense left Davis when aggy tied it up at the end of 4.
While I think those two are far and away the bigger reasons we lost that game, you can also acknowledge that in OT, LSU was denied competent officiating on two game changing calls. Our players deserved even-handed officiating, and they didn't get it, but that doesn't mean we had our chances before that shite show happened, because we did.

When they blew it dead after allowing two similar plays to go through in regulation was your hint as an LSU fan to quit watching the game.
So, being the smart guy I am, I did. I missed the rest of the game.
The comments I am making today are based on replays I saw on Twitter from media and oddly enough, some NFL media that commented on how obvious this was.

Supposedly officials are taught to let the play go if it’s close and let the replay sort it out. Even at game speed it’s clear the guy caught it and tucked it. There was never a doubt he didn’t catch it cleanly or was bobbling it. At least to anyone but that official that made the call. That one hurt because the whole stadium knew what happened including the A&M Tight End.

There were several questionable and straight up wrong calls that significantly altered the game. Those are worth arguing whether or not some of our fans perceive it as whiny

BINGO.
Earlier in the game, there were two scenarios EXACTLY like this. Both were played out, and both went to replay.
Why was this one blown dead, but not the other two?
PS - At that point, you cannot convince me it was incompetence. Sorry.

Yes and we are only talking about those three in this thread:
1) The TE fumble
2) Greedy PI
3) False-start non call in OT
If you whine about anything else you are bitching about a call that was 100% correct.

I think another killer where we could have won the game is with 1:23 left Delpit misses probably the easiest interception of the year.
I'm sure we'll get over this game in a year or so.

If memory serves, he was the one who caused the fumble this thread is discussing, so....
Posted on 11/27/18 at 12:43 pm to TigerBert
PI was the only definitely wrong call imo. The TE play was incomplete to me.
Posted on 11/27/18 at 12:46 pm to TigerBert
The Mond knee is worse than the PI
not because it’s incorrect, but because it’s something that no one sought to review.
I am an attorney and it would be the equivalent of a judge raising an objection that my opposing counsel failed to raise.

I'm tired of talking about it. Sure, LSU got jacked by home team favoritism, it's clear. However, the SEC is fine with the outcome, and that is all that matters. Put and *L in the record books and Move on to the bowl game.
Posted on 11/27/18 at 12:49 pm to TigerBert
The PI looked very questionable. The only thing I will say is that our DB's play alot of man coverage, and as many DB's are taught at this level and the NFL, they grab/hold/handfight as much as the refs will allow. The officials do their homework and know this going into games, sometimes the opposing coaches bring it to their attention pregame to watch for it, perhaps they were looking for something out of reputation. I did not see anything blatant that Greedy did other than contact by both players. If it is questionable, IMHO, the refs need to let the players decide the game.
