This is circulating on Bama pay boards, but I can't guarantee it's true! My friend who lives behind behind enemy lines told me that his well-connected Bama acquaintances are saying Mac Jones is getting the start. They say Tua is only about 60%, hobbling around but can come off the bench. Which would make sense to me, because Tua had the same injury before last year's SEC title, and with twice as much time to recover, he still played like a bum. Once again, I'm not trying to report this as fact, but it's what Bama insiders are saying.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Tua limping at 31 Flavors last night.

That is coming from Mcyntire from fox sports and he said “his guess is Mac will get the start and tua does play”. No credible poster or source has said anything in harmony with that. Saban did an interview with cbs today and gives a much different answer

I don’t doubt this in the slightest. Going to be really interesting to see his mobility after one or two routine pressures. May be ok in a controlled environment but I just don’t see how he will be anywhere near his normal self.

At this point I would rather Tua than Mac Jones

There is some smoke. I have no idea if any of it is true. Injuries are part of the game, with or without him it will be a tough game. I hope we knock the shite out of every QB they put in

Whoever starts and how ever long Jones or Tua play keep in mind Saban is setting up to get in playoffs in the event LSU wins. Argument will be that Bama should get a chance with a healthy QB.

If Bama wins they are obviously in. Only LSU is capable of beating them before playoffs.

To be honest, I could see Auburn keeping it close with their superior defense. All it would take is a kicking game to win that matchup this season.
