Maybe Nola but Lloyd Peever has to be in the conversation. 14-0 with a 1.98 ERA. 116 K's in 104 innings.

nobody wants to be accused of recency bias but he has a strong case. Would have probably been the ace on any most teams that year, save a couple like Wake forest.

Tough call between him, Coleman, and Nola. Floyds fastball would sometimes scare me, but all three weren’t afraid to pound the zone and get strikes when needed.
