What do you do? Thinking about bringing a tv and my lil Honda generator Saturday to catch some of the games. Will be set up in the Alex box lot. I know all locals towers are pretty close but just wondering what kind of small antenna works best? Is there some kind of homemade set up that works? I know I will have zero chance of streaming off my phone. Any advice is appreciated.

Even though the towers are close. There's a chance that you won't be able to catch ABC and/or CBS. Fox and NBC will come in completely clear.

I think like another poster said. Cell phone hotspot with a FireTV or similar is the best way to go, especially since you'll have the entire ESPN catalog that way.

I have never once been able to her CBS with an antenna on campus. There is something about the wavelengths the local CBS uses that make it pretty much impossible

Next question: What are you gonna play at the 2:30 slot. Three ranked vs ranked games including Coach Prime and Bama/Ole Miss

YouTube TV and he can watch all of them with multicast.

I have Roku and a fire stick, and hotspot but won’t there be way too much cell traffic to do that?

Yeah that is obviously the best way but I don’t think that will work unless they have massively upgraded cell ability around campus on game day

There was talk previously about connecting to eduroam with a current LSU student's login. Not sure if this would be more effective than using a cellphone hotspot.

Obviously, you have to know a current student for this option.

This is what we do. But we are close enough to a building. Never had a problem streaming diretvstream. But if OP is near Alex box that could be tough

Tailgate right up against the baseball ops building and the towers are all to the south of it. Bought an Antennas Direct Clearstream 2v antenna from Wally World and caught all network channels last week. Also bought a 4v for home and love it. Multidirectional so can catch all networks stations from both Monroe La and Jackson Ms. They are more expensive than some others but still very reasonable (79 and 108$). Bought a 32” TCL Roku tv also with it and was very pleased with picture and entire setup.

CBS tends to have the worst signal in BR.

My guess is those assholes purposely do it to force people to pay for their streaming service.

Is there enough reception on Gameday with all those people to get a reliable signal going this route?
