Apparently, in the run up to the current seat selection period, TAF has gained over 1000 members in both the priority {20933} and philanthropic points {16238} categories. There must still be quite a bit of interest in Tiger athletics and the news of its' imminent demise/downfall has been premature ! I hope it's not all last minute corporate moving the needle but, it would seem some decent dollar 'contributions' were made over the last 21 days.

Or people know a shite ton of people are dumping tickets this year and people who have long been shut out want that special aura of owning season tickets. If things continue they'll get fed up too.

I'm not sure the overall 'membership' has ever really dropped but gaining 1000+ with a couple hundred contributing thousands via tradition and philanthropic accounts in 3 weeks, is certainly significant...wouldn't you say ?

Are those levels real expensive to get into?

Is it?

How many move up annually during this “run up to the current seat selection period”?

Oh, I'm sure it is a big part of it. The new FY just started, so they all got their new budgets last week.

To get into the top 2500 TAF list, I would think it would take a contribution somewhere north of 20k...while contributing $ 500 or so yearly, it would take you a very long time.

Aside from possible-but-not-guaranteed post-season ticket options, season tickets are a risk. Its very easy to pay a LOT less by getting them outside the stadium on game day. Its a buyers market.

Eh, some people like sitting in the same seats every week every year. I wouldn’t call it a risk in that sense. And they won’t be a lot less if and when we’re good again and the demand goes back up like it inevitably will. And giving up your tickets may be more expensive and costly down the road. Some people think in the short term. Others choose not to. We’ve had the same seats for 60 years. I’d say over those 60 years we’ve come out ahead.

Considering season tickets for basketball are on sale and now require a taf fee in some location it makes perfect sense

I picked up 2 in 103. My son is using mine and I’ll keep these for when his kids get older. $2900.

What are you referring to? Your rank is set based on a philanthropic contribution cut off date months ago. Mine has remained the same at 74 the entire time.
