False and possibly not even the second place behind the obvious first place of 2019.
Miles wasted humongous amounts of talent that was at LSU due to his Neanderthal strategic concept of tackle football.

Player Talent is there, waiting to see if coaching talent is there.

At this point it’s 2019 without question. No judgement can be made on a team that hasn’t played a snap from scrimmage. After the season is over you can rank this team.

2019 was basically a 4-5 win NFL team, so no.

You forgot Stingley, Fulton, Cush, Magee, Lewis, Thad....
NFL guys everywhere. Likely the single most talented team in CFB history

quote:we had the Heismann qb, arguably the 2 best receivers in the country, a first rd rb and many other great players. I think you need to be a lot more realistic. for now assume this team isn't close and doesn't have to be.
This might be the most talented team ever at LSU

False, 2019 is.
Now if I’m wrong, and this is the most talent Ed has ever had, what will be the excuse if the season ends without a National Championship or even an SEC title?

Potential to be the best Defense in O's tenure. Those young WRs and Max will have to show out for me to compare them to 2019

LOL, no
The 2019 team and any other great college team would be 0-16 in the NFL.
This is just laughably stupid.

Best QB depth
Stopped here. An injured Brennan, Max Johnson and a true freshman are better than Joe Burrow and Brennan?
You MAY be able to make that claim after the season, but as it stands now this is ludicrous.

F — 2019 by far the most talented with 2003 a close 2nd!! Then 2011 3rd 2007 4th. 2005 5th

I think 2006 was the best, most talented LSU team to not win a title and can make an argument that they were better than the title winning 2007 team.
They lost a couple tough ones early (got cheated at AU) but by the time they destroyed ND in the sugar bowl, no team in the country was going to beat them.

Best QB depth, DL, and secondary for sure
We’ve had multiple QB rooms with better depth. Like 3 deep with guys who had been in college a year or 2. Nuss might be special but he’s a true freshman and Max is still pretty unproven as well.
The 03, 06, and 11 DLines would also like a word here, as would the 03, 10, and 11 DBs. And I’m probably leaving some years out.

If Joe was the QB it would be possible to compare the teams. I think right now this team could have 20 or more players that make the league with several being pro bowl level. With this o-line you need a goat at QB.
