You guys want spread and throw it around. You have to have an offensive line that can block

Or if the line can’t block, you can spread the D out and run short quick routs that let the QB make high percentage throws quickly, before the bad o line gets him killed.

Matt Flynn discusses this the other night.

But what does a national championship winning, former NFL QB know.

Miami felt the same way as Miles era. no 2nd half offense.

An offensive repeat from the Miles era.

But without the benefit of a freakish running back or two.

I live and breathe Lsu however the truth is the truth Coach O is a coordinator and a very good one but he’s not a head coach

Max protect is an old school mentality and the coaches leading the offense are old. If our strength is WR, which we heard since Ensminger was named OC, we are not utilizing our talent.

Have you watched the hits he's taken with "max protect?"

Now imagine that with less blockers and more free runners. Just because he’s also taken hits in max protect doesn’t mean that he would take the same amount or less hits with more targets.

It doesn’t matter if you have 5 receivers if someone is bullrushing your QB the moment he gets the ball.

I don’t think he has even been more than a position coach.

Never been a coordinator.

How are they going to have free runners if they have to cover 4 and 5 receivers?

left out the part about having one of the most successful, sorry for being an NFL qb with the GB Packers holding their single game passing record, having a SB ring, married to a hot wife, got paid gazillions without ever so much as getting my uniform dirty, careers bit, just sayin'

It's not hard to see. LSU struggled with the blitz so they went max protection. Well all that did was invited Southeastern to blitz more guys because LSU only had two dudes running routes. Where were the quick slants? Why no quick bubble screens, tunnel screens, quick hitches, 8 yd comeback routes, and back shoulder throws?

No you don't, because you keep less people rushing when you send 4 and 5 receivers out. It also gives the QB many targets to get the ball to quickly. When you have a bad O line, only sending 2 receivers is basically the worst thing you could do.

FIFY...he has never been a coordinator.. the only time he has had coordinator in his title is Recruiting Coordinator.

He has never risen above the position coach level except for the two schools stupid enough to hire him as a HC.
