LSU fans never ceases to amaze me.
LSU fans defending the indefensible that took place on 1/9.
There was no excuse for us showing up that night with the exact same gameplan that was barely successful the 1st time we beat them.
There was no excuse to not have an alternate plan just in case our old plan didn't pan out.
There was no excuse for not showing flexibility to adapt "in game" to try something new (trying JL, other lineman, anything).
We were in the biggest game on the biggest stage, having the greatest season in school history. Why not shoot every bullet in your gun, go down swinging, pulling out every stop?
They were better than us that day. Nothing we would have done would have made a difference. Those are things losers say when they give up and quit. People that say things like this don't know shite about competition or being a competitor.
Then never addressing the events of one of the most embarrassing moments in our programs history by never talking about the game - Just acted like it never took place. No explanations.
How can you be honest with yourself and defend any of that?

The Bama FG attempt after the interception was NOT blocked. Shelley pushed it wide right. Get your facts right.

JJ trotted back out in field.

Your statement is inaccurate about Harris being hurt.
In addition, hailing him as a great coach vacated his resume on 1/9.
He is an average coach with superior talent and an above average recruiter.
For the money we pay Les, he makes more mistakes than his contemporaries making similar money (Urban, Nick) by far. He is not close on the skill sets of Time management, adjustments and game planning for big games.

The crowd was lethargic and the team was too. If you insert him, the crowd buzz would have increased the energy in the building and the team could have fed off of that. I think that's the biggest problem people have -- not that Lee wasn't put in, per se, but that nothing else was done when what was being done was clearly not working on that night.
If they would have put Shepard in at QB or Mett, even though it wouldn't have worked either, it would have made a crowd buzz in the building as well. Both those options had more chance of working than inserting Lee. On the other hand Jefferson had a history of leading LSU to comeback victories. Maybe Les was just playing the odds (which were bleak any way you slice it)

many teams have higher ranked recruiting classes than LSU. That we beat Bama the first time in Tuscoulsa alone disproves your theory that Coach Miles is an average coach.
Bama has had the consensus #1 ranked recruiting classes for many years in a row now. If Miles had that kind of talent to work with I doubt he would ever lose a game. Coach Miles is a very good recruiter who brings honesty and family values into the equation but it is hard to compete on the recruiting front with the charlatan midget to the east.

couldn't handle the pressure of the moment while LSU did. Some aspects of great coaching is handling the psychological aspects of your team.

same here. We have many idiots in our fan base but that is not unique to LSU.

It's all in Miles plan. Make millions now. Screw up the biggest game ever. Get paid some more. Retire. Write book on what really happened to make millions more. Genius.

How many yards did we have rushing that game?
There is your answer to a bunch of stupid questions.

How do you let Lee (a senior who won us 8 games and led us to #1 ranking) sit on the bench the entire game?
Because as bad as JJ played, our oline was worse and putting in a qb that was god awful under pressure isn't the answer.

that's what happens when 4 of your attempted fgs are career long fgs for your kicker. It's amazing how Bama fans act like 40-45 yard fgs should be counted as automatics

though we had little chance in that game, at least Coach Miles and the team fought to the end. Putting in Lee just so he could get some PT in his last game as a tiger would be a disservice to that tiger team and a disservice to Lee as well. Glad Coach MIles doesn't have the defeatist attitude of many of the posters on here.

What? Miles has a top 6 win % in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history. The best coach in cfb( saban ) with by far the most talent (4 of the last 5 recruiting classes were #1) LOSES EVERY YEAR.
LSU has finished in the top 15 8 of MILES' 10 seasons. He just gave lsu it's most successful 10 year stretch ever. You're a fricking dumbass.

They used Jeremy Shelley instead of Cade Foster in this one.
