Agreed..... we do have our share of arrogant fans. Sadly, probably more than most. The older I get, I've mellowed out. I used to live and die by what the Tide did on Saturday. There is more to life..... I agree. Last year's LSU team was a sight to behold. Hopefully the Tide can replicate that success this season....but if not, it won't affect my life at all. LOL.

Here is a Bama fan I could have a beer with.

I listened Live and Hannigrif tried to stop him but T-Bob would have none of it. Charles did not look happy the rest of the show.

Bama has posters at the extreme end of the spectrum on both sides. There are some really good ones and there are some really, really bad ones.

I don't have a problem with Alabama natives and/or alums being as entitled as they feel like. Your school, be proud of it. What I can't stand is the t shirt Bama fans who couldn't find Tuscaloosa on a map, strutting and crowing. I'd feel the same way about fans of any school like that, but we happen to have a lot of Bama fans in Louisiana, for whatever reason. Maybe people in other states feel the same way about us, IDK.

But what T-Bob was getting at was that Alabama fans... from the extensive interactions I have with them (used to live in Alabama, have friends who are extreme Gumps but have no affiliation with the school, my brother in law is from London and is a Gump)...

Is that they have this odd sense of latching on to Alabama’s success and the success of Alabama defines them. Their team is successful so they think they are successful. Alabama is the best, so they think they are the best. It is a perverted sense of arrogance that at the end of the day is somewhat pathetic. I love LSU football and yes last year made me incredibly happy and I’ve been an LSU fan my entire life... but I don’t think “Yeah suck it bitch my football team is the BEST! Your college football team doesn't win a ton of Natty’s? LOL what a pathetic existence”

There is this and there is also the holier-than-thou attitude as well. To me that is the most annoying part.

He never has any hot takes or anything of value to bring to the radio show. He's just a voice.

Nobody wants hot take radio anymore. You’re blind if you don’t think t Bob brings value to 1045 ESPNBR.

He was here for 5 years I believe. Out of 6 games, we won 3.

ETA: Also I bet if he had the same political opinions as the majority on this board and did the same exact thing he’d be held up as a paragon of sports journalism.

Lets be real honest here. The vast majority of people don’t care about politics in sports. They care about politics different from their own in sports.

Yep, it's why everyone on the MSB thinks Clay Travis is some bastion of sports journalism, even though he is just a democrat who worked on Al Gore's campaign that is following the money by taking advantage of the counter-culture.

The fact that Alabama’s fans are puffing their chests out over beating a team that lost to Mississippi State and Missouri is just another example of how pathetic they really are. Congrats, Bama. You beat the worst LSU team in the last 4 decades. Last season LSU went into your home and beat a championship caliber team led by arguably the greatest QB Alabama’s football program has ever known. Huge difference.

“Come on man”

Lighten up. Some fans are looking for a little brevity in this clusterfrick of a season. It’s all good. No sense in taking everything so seriously.

I have a very simple rule for myself.

The only people I judge based off of their political beliefs are politicians.

I think I’m a lot happier since I started living by that and I wish a lot more people would take it up.
