I agree , T-Bob sounds very good over the radio and so far a great breakdown and insight to the game this past Saturday.

Does Mett look for anyone other than Beckham? Did we try to throw to Ware out of the backfield after the first drive? Crossing routes? Back shoulder throws? Anything?

His analysis is good but he gets a little case of the 'uh's from time to time. He'll stutter and stumble a bit and sometimes gets a little too hyped up and trips up on his words, not unlike his father

That being said, with a little experience and polish he could be good.

He discussed them at length the first two or three times he appeared on 104.5. Go to the archive and check it out.

He talked about specific situations:

1. Boone's drop on the 1st drive. Killed it
2. Boone's 2nd drop then INT. killed it
3. Beckham catching 2 punts inside the 10. Killed it
4. Beckham drops easy 3rd & 3. Killed it
5. Beckham doesn't make a play on 3rd & 15 granted not easy but you are our #1. Killed it
6. Beckham fumbling on the deep pass when down 7-6. Killed it
7. Beckham not running his route 100%. Killed it (I don't remember this play)

I think thats a good summary of our struggles honestly. Was the playcalling perfect-no. Far from it. However if our WRs step up and catch passes then we are sitting here easily undefeated. Drive killing drops were our biggest problem.

not a shocker that he ignores the short comings of his own group.
One of my least favorite Tigers of all time...but I also hate his dad.

He threw to 10 different receivers. Seems like hes looking at others receivers.

He said moffit always says who wants it, what are you willing to do. The team has talent, players need to go get it. LSU still controls its destiny. Said losing at home having that board empty freakin hurts. No one wants to be the one to clear the board. Josh d should be starting at LT. Moving hurst over is just like having two injured guys cus now ur breaking in both tackle spots. Also josh d really helps collins be the beast he is. Said notice the games josh didnt start, towson and uf, we struggled to move the ball.

He said he watched the game 4 times. At first he was really down on Mett but every time he rewatched the game he realized Mettenberger did a great job and made some fantastic decisions. Mostly Beckham dropped a lot of passes he should have caught.

Say what you want about the players, i am blaming the play calling:
1st and goal on the 7 --need i say more
Mett has no two step drop
no intermediate passing game
no short passing game
no run draw
no screens
no play action (hard when you cant run)
no shotgun
no attempt to give the Qb time through play calling
