I was in Tucson in 2003 when we beat the crap out of Arizona and all the bars surrounding UofA's campus had to requisition additional alcohol from Phoenix. I remember going to a bar right after the game and being told that more booze was on the way but that LSU fans had been there since Thursday and all the bars in the area were completely dry.

They seem downright grateful that Leonard is coming to destroy their football program.

I'd imagine no more than around 5k fans show up unless there's more fans that live in the northeast than I think.

LSU fans love to go to to these one off games where we'll never play again.

Article title highlights LSU fans' drinking. Article picture has no alcohol present. Yankee fail.

That's because it's a privilege to watch him play football.

Look, don't get me wrong, I'm a big booze hound too, but I wish alcohol was not the most prominent takeaway in several quotes from the alumni association VP. It is what it is I guess.
Obsessively "Needing" alcohol as a pre-requisite for having a good time and enjoying yourself at an LSU football game is about as pathetic and pitiful as it gets.

Are all of yall so miserable in your lives, that you have to "Exit the reality and deaden the pain of your apparently miserable Louisiana Existence" by having to drink before, during and after an LSU football game?

Why can't so many of yall have a good time sober?

Don't understand that mentality and reasoning. Don't get it. Don't get it. Don't get it!.........

This is the situation in which we find ourselves, friend. Two fan bases arguing about who can drink more alcohol. It saddens me that this is the world we have created when so much more could have been achieved. I, for one, will enjoy this Saturday's contest alcohol free. I can guarantee you that I will enjoy it! I will think of you tonight during my Giving time.

Questionable.

Hell, I'm in Maryland and am seriously thinking telling the husband that he can watch the kids this weekend while I drive up to Syracuse for the game.

From the comments:

Dear Syracuse...Mr. Mink is not kidding. He is, in fact, severely understating what is about to happen to you. Along with the charter plane you will be descended upon by a hoard of Purple and Gold colored alcohol guzzling locusts. They will not only drink every bar dry, they will ravage your package stores, strip the grocery shelves and coolers, and severely drain the resources of every county in upstate New York as suppliers of every kind of booze attempts to sate the never ending thirst of LSU football fans. Everyone selling will be in the black for months while the rest of you scrape by on PBR and Thunderbird...if you're lucky. Seattle is still reeling from their own encounter with this scourge and they're further away. If you hunker down and buy enough of everything to last 6 months you should come out of it relatively unscathed so long as you make sure the Tiger fans can't smell your stash.

I don't understand the need of some people to tell people that the way they live their lives is worse because they don't agree with it.

Enjoy your mineral water and leave us alone, gramps.

Three weeks after the home-and-home series officially became contracted and announced, Ramezan's travel package sold out.

"It's really unheard of," he said. "We could've sold another plane," but lack of hotel accommodations prevented that from happening.

Shocking.

The upper east regions fans better represent. We've been holding Louisiana down for a long time. Now y'all got to step it up and during these people down.
