The only thing he wasn't missing at Lsu was Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner time. Dude was obese and wasn't trying to get into any type of shape. Weak dude.

Likely.
He was a Bo Davis recruit that was brought over from Texas. With Davis gone and Williams clearly preferring a different style DT, it seems pretty clear he wasn't going to play much.

All I remember when he transferred from Texas was everyone saying he was an overweight project. Someone who “might” be someone who could be an asset to the defense “IF” he could ever get his weight under control.

I’d be surprised if he just quit because of playing time. I think he had an attitude problem and was kicked off the team or was in the dog house and said frick it I’m out.
