I see the majority of our pick ups have been from P4 schools, and mostly from the SEC. I don't know about most of the players we are getting, but hoping they are not at the same level of all the ones we lost. I'm sure most schools getting the guys that left us are thinking they picked up some good players, but, outside of a few, I don't think they will. Transfers rarely work. Do you think we are getting all good players?

completely different type of player than suggs is. This kid is a true space eater who will free up our lbs aginst the run. This is gonna be a very hard defense to run on

I totally get this and agree we shouldn't look at all of this through purple-and-gold glasses, but I think these two play fundamentally different roles. Suggs was known for a quick first step and being a good internal pass rusher, but not being stout against the run. I don't know anything about Mitchell but I am guessing at his size he's being brought in to clog the middle (Suggs' weakness) but may not have Suggs' strength against the pass?

Hard not to get excited about this guys size. Bo Davis likes him and that's good enough for me. He may not play every down but in key situations if you can plug a guy like this in the middle it can help the defense tremendously.
