Never understood this (same applies to Penn St game too). Do not the conditions affect both teams?

If the rain affected the passing game so much how did LSU throw for over 50% compl, 2 TDs, and 9.7 ypc. Compared to the Heisman trophy winner throwing for 39%, 1 TD, 5.5 ypc.
