Peej, I think I've shown I'm not a conspiracy guy or an everyone is out to get LSU person. I just think in this instance that the committee thinks OSU is the best team and that they're making their opponents the higher ranked teams to justify it. IMO they heard the backlash last week from the media and adjusted the rankings accordingly. At least that's the way it appears.

Rest assured the tigers will be # 1 when they beat Georgia....Ohio State will be 2, Clemson 3 and Oklahoma 4. Tigers beat the sooners, Clewmson beats the buckeye boys and LSU beats Clemson for the Championship....beat the bank!!

Penn St has not done a damn thing to justify the light the committee seems to hold them in. Nothing.
I feel the same way. If the committee just loved Ohio State and had them at #1 then fine. Call them them the more complete team or say they pass the eye test, whatever. But don't start pumping up and overrating teams they beat to try and make it look legitimate.
Having Penn State at #10 is the most egregious of them all. That's a joke. PSU has a good defense but their offense is so erratic from game to game. Hell from series to series. They were smoke and mirrors with big wins over Iowa and Michigan before being exposed against Minnesota and Ohio State.
I hate bama. Hate them. But if they lined up against Penn State it would get ugly. For the committee to have PSU ahead of bama is absurd. The AP and coaches poll have it closer to being right. They have them at #12 and #11 respectively.

Penn State would be a .4 point dog to Florida on a neutral field and a 1.8 point favorite with Auburn.
White Out Penn State would be favored over both.

It’s close with Tua Alabama, Auburn, and Florida to Penn State and Wisconsin. But that’s three over two. Then you add Georgia with the other three which would be possibly the best win of all of them. The 1 def better then any OSU win. The three at around OSU two. Michigan and Cincinnati are very overrated. But I would take LSU resume slightly over OSU. Clemson... well not even close.

That's why the committee is protecting your arse and putting you no. 1, it's a true sign they don't believe y'all can beat Clemson to get to the championship and therefore are protecting your sorry arse from a possible loss Saturday (and still leaving y'all in the playoffs at 4) and not having to play Clemson being no. 1. You should be equally worried about both LSU and Clemson, because I don't think you can beat either team.
