You guys can try all you want to say this is a home game but its not. It may have felt like an away game to Ohio State in 07' but Bama has won 3 NC's there (78', 79' and 92'). And of course we'll have 50% of the seats. Call it your house if you want but false impressions lead to big defeats. Its no more your home field than it is ours.
It's more of a home field for us than when we beat you November 5. That's all that matters

The best excuse I heard from a Gump is that they lost in T-Town BECAUSE it was a home game and the media turned T-Town into a circus. LSU didn't have the distraction on campus

It's awesome how the OP tossed this little grenade in here then just went away. 10 pages and counting without a response back from him. Well played gump.

The Superdome is in New Orleans you know that right?

Just want to make sure you don't stop in a neutral Mississippi

Typical bama fan stuck in the past 78', 79', 92' Non of the current players were even thought of in 78' 79' and I bet most werent born in 92 either.

For the fans, history matters. We're very comfortable in NO. We grew up there going to sugar bowls NC games every year in the 70's and have been there a hand full of times since.

The players are 1:30 from Baton Rouge and 30min flight from Tuscaloosa. So, as far as the players go its not any further for us.

You may have a few more fans there but the extra 50,000 seats tthat the schools don't we'll buy at least 20-22k of them. So put us down for 40% of the total. Its not a home game for you guys this year.

No excuses. You won straight up in OT. But don't think that gives you ANY advantage in this game. Go ask Florida how much advantage they had in the rematch in 09'. A year later but most of the same team.

LMAO! I can only hope McCarron is thinking the same thing. You think he folded under pressure in Tuscaloosa?

And you think the Sugar Bowl season ticket holders, many of whom are LSU fans, are going to sell them to Alabama people?

You'll get 65-35 and that's it. LSU fans make more noise than Alabama fans anyway so yea it will be a home game for us.

You know they will. Bama doesn't just lose for no reason.

It'll be 60/40 LSU man.

LSU gets 1/4 of the seats. Alabama gets 1/4 of the seats. The rest go to Sugar Bowl season ticket holders, corporations in New Orleans, major sponsor employees (Allstate), and Louisiana politicians.

The majority of those people are LSU fans. It won't be 50/50. I'm not saying it'll be a home game for LSU, but Alabama fans will be in the minority.

I get the impression that asking you if math is your strong suit would ultimately be both redundant and pointless.

You've never been in NO against LSU, though, have you? Every other time you've been here, you haven't had the locals to deal with, because you weren't playing the locals. How hard is this to understand?

Are you on the football team? No? So how is this relevant? It isn't about making the fans uncomfortable, it's about making the football players uncomfortable.

You do realize that they don't split up the seats 50/50 (to each school)? Corporate seats, City of New Orleans, and other outlets do get seats. It'll be around 55/45 LSU. Maybe 60/40.

First reasonable response I've read. Ok, I'll give you the 60/40. My point is its not the home game most think. It won't be much of an advantage. Everyone I know is going to the game. I'll be there with my family.

It's an hour drive and many gumps won't be flying, and you know this.

Also technically its a 15 minute flight from BR to NOLA.

Again.. its a home game for LSU.

Fans maybe, NO is a great weekend getaway. The "History" you speak of happened before the majority of your team was born. Saban is a hired gun, not a Bama Believer. As far as Home Game and taking over New Orleans....I think you overestimate your fanbases potential and ability. AND- Speaking of History, LSU fans also remember the Bear and the losses, this will be an extremely hostile environment unlike the safety of Tiger Stadium. New Orleans brings out the crazy in every LA native like no other place.

OH, and here is a Langiappe: EVERY Meal you eat in New Orleans will be flavored with Cajun Spittle. Roll Tide.
