I was hopeful Joe Brady’s incredibly effective gimmicks would stick around, but haven’t heard a word about them since that dude left.

Gezzus! Joe Brady didn’t invent any of that shite. Drills like that have been around forever. Joe Brady was a great young coach, and he contributed a ton, but the success was NOT primarily due to Brady. It was due to having FIVE FIRST ROUND DRAFT CHOICES at the skill positions.

Clyde - Dominant NFL starter as a rookie
Jetts - NFL Rookie of the Year!!!
Burrow - NFL starting QB as a rookie lit up teams
Chase - Was even better than Jetts
Marshall - We shall see, but a starter as a rookie for sure

I would love to be able to rewind this year with Brady on staff just to see you idiots baffled.

There was no spring practice. Covid restrictions fricked up many practice sessions.

In LSU defense. There really wasn't much of an off-season and what they had wasn't close to normal.

How many were FIRST RD DRAFT CHOICES before Brady?

Just a lil hint, Joe was a 6th, 7th round pick. CEH would still be on the team.

10k catches weren't a thing until Brady got here, that's facts. With Brady this team beats Mississippi State, Missouri, and A&M. Sure the defense deserves the blame for the Missouri and State losses but LSU was terrible on 3rd what Brady specializes in. A&M literally did the same blitz and LSU did not recognize what Elko was doing. To act like Brady wouldn't have made a difference is crazy.

hardly. In fact according to most he has been a disappointment with a C- or lower grade.

You would be looking into the mirror talking about idiots. The game planning and scripts etc plus all of the film breakdown was Brady. Sean Payton RECOGNIZED THR PLAYS DUMBASS.

Love Clyde, but this is simply inaccurate.

Penrod,

Maybe Brady did not invent any of those drills, but with him here, he made the players better through these drills and a creative offense. That is fact!! Without him the WR's dropped tons of passes the prior year...Fact!! He made all of them better.. Fact!! Joe Burrow was a projected 7th round pick prior to 2019.. Fact!! Did anyone in the country (LSU fans or draft analyst have CEH as a first round pick? Are you kidding me.. No One.. Fact!!

Did anyone think LSU would have the best season ever in college football and especially have THE BEST OFFENSE EVER? No way in hell.. Fact!! Or, that our QB would pass for 60 TD, 5,700 yards, and we would have WR so productive with 2 at 18-20 TD each and another right behind? No way... Fact!!

Or that we would go 15-0 and win the SEC and storm through the CFP and kill Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson (who demolished Bama the prior year for the National Title)

Oh, and who did we finally beat after 8 straight years... Oh BAMA... Fact!!

We don't do any of that without Brady... Not even close

Sure, even with Brady, we are not as good as last year due to the many draft picks and Juniors leaving early. However, with Brady we beat 2-3 more teams on the schedule like Miss. State, Missouri and maybe Texas A&M, as all we needed was a competent offense. Furthermore, with Brady here, Jamar Chase probably does not opt out (Because we still have an offense and not that shite show he was looking at with Brady gone, and E and washed up Linehan brought to the team). Marshall would still be here, et all because we would have still had a decent team.

Finally, with Brady still here, Jo Jo Earle would have signed with us, along with a few more because his OC would be here, and since our record would be better, Koht and maybe Foreman would also be on board. These last few might be stretches but the point was made that Joe Brady made LSU better, so much better that we went 15-0 last year, won the tile, set so many records, beat BAMA, etc.......

If I am the coach or AD, I would have asked E to be a TE again and I would have backed up the truck and threw $3M per year for 5 years and make him asst. head coach, and even give him head coach in waiting title. Anything to keep him because he was clearly the difference!!

Let me see how much of an idiot you are using your own quote above.

With Brady on the team this year, do you think our offense would have been better in 2020, and would our record be better? Yes or No

Its real simple.. can you make the right answer.. All I need is Yes or No.. Pick it smart arse

Let me see here.... nope you didn’t make a single valid point, just a bunch of inaccurate hyperbole and straw man nonsense.

Did Covid prevent 2 guys from setting up a Juggs machine
And throwing 200 passes a day to each other on their own?

Actually, I believe it did. The entire facility was shutdown from March thru early June when voluntary workouts started. Someone else can confirm, but players had zero access during this time.

I think a lot of people forget what a royal cluster this offseason and preseason really was.

Lol.

“Dominant NFL starter” is a bit hyperbolic but your description on the other end is even more of a dumbass statement.

Clyde currently has 724 yards on 167 carries for a 4.3 ypc along with 31 receptions. He’s not tearing the league up but he is fitting nicely into his role in the Chiefs’ high powered offense, is a candidate for AFC ROY, and will only get better.

Every other team in the country had to deal with the same virus. This was nothing unique to this program.
