It's surely isnt LSU descision. They can agree to host it in Baton Rouge but if UF wants it in the Superdome and the SEC says okay. Guess where the game will be played?

Lol at Fla dragging their feet on moving this to BR as a Cat 3/4 passes within miles

For those familiar with Louisiana this situation is akin to playing a football game in BR with a hurricane strength of 3/4 passing over Slidell. Except a little worse, as with a hurricane passing over Slidell it would be immediately slowed by landfall before it would be inline with BR latitudinally whereas with Gainesville this hurricane will be maintaining more or less full strength as is skirts along the Atlantic coast. We dont ever really see this situation on the Gulf Coast because hurricanes typically meet the coast head-on and are immediately slowed whereas Atlantic hurricanes often work their way along the coast and dont always head inland.
This changes the type and depth of destruction that the Gulf and Atlantic coasts sees. Since Gulf storms are moving towards the land the storm surge is often much bigger and moves inland much further but the winds rarely penetrate very far inland because of the land mass breaking up the storm eye. Atlantic "coast riders" maintain their strength as they pass so the winds are relentless but the surge isnt as large comparatively speaking.
All that is to say that Gainesville will probably lose power.

Florida needs to move it players, along with the population to a safe location and football needs to be secondary. I didnt think it was right to move LSU's game to ASU or for UT to fly in and go straight to Tiger stadium either. This is a major hurricane and football needs to be put in its proper place.
Frankly, any talk of playing this game now is almost asinine with either LSU trying to get in, Florida trying to get out and get back in and what their families may be dealing with back in Florida. I wouldnt want to play not knowing what was happening to my family in Coco Beach or Jacksonville and players families of LSU wondering what is happening to their players holed up in Ocala.
