Bert Jones
I thought it was 70 yards. I think the story was with his knee on the 50 he threw it through the uprights but I'll try and find a link.

Russell has a bomb.
Couldn't he throw like 60 yards from his knees?

Younger guy here (31), but Jamarcus seems like the easy answer. That kid's physical tools* were unmatched among SEC QBs I've watched over the past ten years. Such a waste that he couldn't give enough of a frick to focus on the game.
*ETA throwing tools. Overall physical tools/heart would have to go to Cam or Tebow.

Serious question . What's the farthest a person can throw a football . 80 yards , can ever a 100?

Jamarcus (Said he could throw to the endzone from the other 20 on his knees. Heard he stood in the endzone and threw a ball out of the stadium.)

I remember an unsuspecting opposing baserunner tag from third and get duked at the plate. The crowd knew it was coming, too.

sorry guys.. I now most of you are young and never actually saw Bert Jones....
Jamarcus is a close second, but Bert wins
It's believed he had one of the strongest arms in the NFL, ever. Belichick on Jones

Bert Jones had the best arm at LSU that I ever saw. Maybe strongest, dunno.

Ole Miss pass
he had a few that were incredible.
Off the top of my head, the game winner vs ASU was 50+ yards in the air and hit docuet in stride coming across the field on 4th and 10. I think this is the best throw I've ever seen.
ASU game winner
He had a few against Tennessee, especially the one to Bowe
UT
The entire MSU, Fresno, and UK games. The accuracy with arms strength was just beautiful
MSU

Russel could throw 60 on his knees. Bert had a great arm and was a better overall QB but JR had one of the best pure arms in the history of Football College and PRO.
