Stop bashing RC and Chase

1. Coach O is all about football. He would never get involved with politics while coaching football. His Trump comments were taken out of context-he was just saying the President treated the team and him well when they went to Wash-and he likes him because of that. There is no political statement here. Plus, Coach O seems to be friends with Gov. Edwards. So, nobody knows where he stands politically, and he doesn’t care. All he cares about is football.
2. Being a public figure, RC needs to be more careful with his tweets. He should have spoken to O in person before bashing him. However, he has a right to his opinion. I am white. I don’t know how RC feels. He may have deep scars. Therefore, he is entitled to his opinion, and anybody can agree or disagree with him-including players. If his Tweets are influencing people, there is nothing you or I can do about it. If you are a public figure or influencer, then maybe you could effectively counter-tweet. If you are just another Joe Blow, like me, then there is absolutely nothing we can do beyond agree, disagree, rant on TD, tune him out, and vote.
3. Those that are ripping apart Chase, a kid, for opting out are wrong. Nobody knows why he is opting out. It could be Corona, it could be family finances, it could be politics, etc. Nobody knows-so why slander this kid? He can do whatever he wants to do as long as he gives up his scholarship so that somebody else will have an opportunity.
4. Football is entertainment. To me, there is no better entertainment than college football. Obviously, athletes are entitled to a political opinion, but it is you and me who are giving athletes a platform to push their politics because we have made sports more than entertainment. So don’t blame them for taking advantage of their platform-we allowed the unwarranted reverance of entertainers/athletes.
5. Everybody needs to just chill, praise God, take care of your family, work hard, and then have fun watching the Tigers after you do the aforementioned. It’s not that big a deal that Chase wants to go pro.

The issues I have with Clark go way beyond whatever alleged involvement he has with Chase. Clark has been negative for quite some time. He seemed happy the Tigers won the title, and immediately reverted back to his normal self.
I’m not sure why he has beef with O, but it’s obvious he does. I’m pretty sure Clark doesn’t like white people.

You're right about this. When it ceases to be entertaining, there ceases to be a reason to watch it. It's approaching that point, if not already past it. LSU sports have been a big part of my life. But nothing lasts forever.
The people involved in this: the players, coaches, administrations, both college and pro, are under the delusion that demand for their product is inelastic. That we have some kind of obligation to watch their games, buy their tickets and merchandise, pay attention to their endorsements. None of that could be further from the truth, as they're about to find out.
They can be an activist to their heart's content, for any cause they choose. But they won't be doing it on my dime. This includes you, LSU and TAF. I'm not just talking about the players.

I can agree with most of the OP
The players need tell us what they know about Jacob Blake and his case beyond the video...because facts matter, and it chances perspective real quick.
my money is on the fact the young people haven't done their homework on the case...
because if they did, they wouldn't be "honoring" him with their protest..
who puts a policemen in a headlock?
He gets tased twice and refuses to surrender?
who fingers thier ex in the middle of the night and says "you smell like you've been with other men"
Who takes keys and credit card of ex girl friend?
To me he's a bad person...who makes bad choices...he got shot because of his refusal to obey...and comply.
America is sick of ignorance....that is sowing division...
