I do not have sources. I do not try to break news. I came here to read the rumors. I am not even suggesting that he is not injured in some way, But
I text my two brother in laws about the rumors. The younger of the two said he saw Stingley on campus today with no limp, no boot, nothing.
Take that information how ever your heart pleases.

Well I sure hope you're right because having Stingley on the field changes the dynamic of how the defense operates.

Maybe they're trying to keep it under wraps so MSU will find out at kickoff instead of 3 days beforehand.

Not saying he does. I'm saying LSU does and it would make sense to keep injury news in house until it can't be hid any longer.

What are we 3 gms in? Maybe they like it and it gives the D an advantage. Maybe they feel like the zone coverage will be good enough that the CB blitz will work. Not having it on tape probably means that State will be just as surprised as you are and leave them scratching their head thinking WTF.

They didn’t run corner blitzes last year either. I don’t think Aranda did either.
I just think there’s a reason why it’s not a common thing. It’s risky. We’ve always had amazing athletes at corner. Defensive philosophies differ quite a bit on what people think is affective. Mississippi state gets the ball out fast. So it just sounds like a dumb move to me.
But we really don’t even know if it’s something they would’ve used. Maybe it was something they were just practicing. Who knows. So I’m not gonna knock it too much. But I am of the opinion that doing that with Stingley is very risky and would’ve been a bad idea. He’s not a TM7 type of player. He’s a finesse shut down corner. Just my opinion.

Daronte was not here last year. CB blitz is used in attacking defenses since footballs were made of pigskin. I think you are too concerned about potential injury. This is football, they happen. Sting can drop the hat, bud. Did you not see him blow that dude for the forced fumble?
Who is the best cover CB to come out of LSU? PP7? PP7 This is just quick search. PP7, TM7, Donte, etc. came on the blitz. It doesn't get used all the time but the CB blitz is in every defense's playbook. Everybody's, even on Madden and Tecmo Bowl.
