Oh, I know what could have been. We could have taken Terrace Marshall off the field to put an inferior guy in his place. Damn sure weren’t taking the NFL HOFers off the field.

This. Coach O didn't want him to get hurt because Stingley was apparently a little brittle.

Stingley was very physical and graded out very high for run support as a cover corner

I’m not talking about his physical ability. I’m speaking to the fact that he chose to sit out. Not the typical dog mentality you see in LSU DBs.

He is one of the best ever here. Don’t get the hate for him. LSU fans in many instances really suck and this is one of those instances.

What did he do that was so awesome outside his freshman year? Even then he was burnt toast against Devonta Smith.

ETA:
He didn’t live up to expectations IMO. I was expecting a PP7 2.0, but he ghosted after his freshman year.

He was no "burnt toast" against Smith. He somehow got distracted from the sideline. That said, it seemed after his NFL audition as a freshman he kind of coasted.

You brought it up so which wr’s snap do you give to Stingley in ‘19, the only year he was healthy enough to go both ways?

After his freshman year, he was never on the field. Kid stayed injured.

Hunter won't make it the whole year playing like that. He's a baller for sure.

I think Deion saw what he has in guys like Horn Jr. and Weaver. I suspect as the season progresses he'll rest Hunter on offense (not to say that he won't play offense at all...I'm sure he'll play a huge part on it still). Now on D he's their best corner so I imagine he'll play a lot on D in every game.

He was distracted on the first one. He gave up a second touch down late in the game.
