Well didn't people crown Stingley last off-season? Yeah they look fricking stupid now.
Patrick Peterson, Tre white, Jalen Mills, Jalen Collins, Tyrann Mathieu, Kevin tolliver, and Flott all had good reps as freshman.

No Richard was with Dallas and Saints fans refuse to admit he is a heck of a coach!

Whoever starts opposite Stingley better eat his Wheaties and put on his big boy britches. Because I doubt there will be 12 balls thrown to Stingley all year.

I'd say Flott has a better shot than Ricks. Also, don't sleep on Ward and Jones. Apparently, the staff loves Jones.

Not sure if sarcastic but stingley as a freshman was far superior to all of those

Stingley is the 3rd highest-rated recruit in LSU history (per 247). He is the exception, not the rule.

Again, Stingley is the exception not the rule. Most of the guys you listed did not immediately become starters. Games started as a freshman:
Patrick Peterson - 4
Tre White - 11
Jalen Mills - 13
Jalen Collins - 0 (redshirt)
Tyrann Mathieu - 1
Kevin Toliver - 8
Cordale Flott - 1
I would expect Ricks to get a lot of reps next year, but I don’t think he will immediately be “the guy” opposite of Stingley unless he absolutely balls out in camp. It’s certainly possible, but the most likely starter is Flott.

Sounds like a good problem to have

Your expectations for Ricks is curiously low for No.1 CB in the country, the No.1 HS player in the state of California, and the 5th best HS player in the country.
Not really.
Ricks is very good but he’s also raw. He’s not the super polished phenom like Stingley. I just want people to curb their expectations or they’re going to be in here foaming at the mouth calling him a bust every time he gets beat.

like Vincent opposite of Stingley is more likely.
I just dropped my drink. Lol Vincent is no cornerback. He has no hips that's why he plays 10 yards off the receivers.

I think Ricks enrolling early certainly helps his chances of starting. Yes Flott got some good reps and no Ricks isnt quite as good as Stingley was coming in but I do think Ricks has at least a 50/50 chance to start. The two are very similar in frame and skillset. Also I think the staff will probably be more comfortable starting Ricks since Stingley will obviously draw every team's #1 wideout. Ricks wouldnt have to worry about a team having two major threats at WR until probably about tbe Bama game. And Ricks would have the benefit of playing against two of the best WRs in college football everyday in practice.

I agree. Rick's is good but is not the physical specimen that Stingley was coming out of high school. Remember Stingley was matching up against the likes of Colin Johnson(UT) and that Pickens(Uga)and was able to handle them. I think Ricks plays but I just don't think he dominates like Stingley did. Anyway to have two shutdown corners again is awesome.

Man Vincent on an island would not go well. He got picked apart this year. He improved towards the end of the year for sure, but he won’t be opposite Stingley. I think they’ll put some weight on him and keep him at Safety and have Flott and Ricks at corner and nickel.

Why is everyone sleeping on Flott
He played well this year

Flott will be opposite Stingley. I expect to see Hampton, Harris and Vincent as the starting safeties and nickel. I think Stevens comes down as a rover or

One question I have though for all those saying Flott starts. Do you think this could push Ricks to transfer? I know everyone hates talking about transfers but we obviously see it every year and I could definitely see the #1 HS CB leaving if he doesn't get a chance to start until his Junior Year (When Stingley and/or Ricks would be gone).

Don’t count out Flott, he’s looked good in limited role.

Ricks is nothing like Stingley. If you’re expecting that or a Pat Pete type freshman year, you’re going to be the one coming on here and saying he’s a bust before the year is over.
He’s a much more raw prospect than those two and may end up as a safety when all said and done. He’s as talented as anyone, but it’s going to take a year at least.
