Somebody missed a sign. You saw the catcher put his hands up like "Noooooooooooo!!!!"
So what’s your fricking point? The balk was a tactic? The pitcher was completely unhinged there. Batter showed bunt several times already. Everything was set. Are you saying the pressure was not a factor? Stupid.

O M G.....
the pitcher missed the sign to come to the plate. He went to first, but there wasn't anyone there, hence the BALK!

Thompson squared to bunt once and then took a pitch. It confused the Oregon coaching staff. They tried throwing to first to see if Thompson would square around again.
Did pressure play a part in it. Absolutely. They tried the tactic. Paul stood firm and unnerved the Oregon coaches

Because he was under pressure and confused. Seemed obvious he was nervous or reluctant to throw home. Pressure wins games in that situation.

Can an ump actually do anything if a pitcher just chooses to continuously pick off indefinitely?
Start calling balks and making shite up about what the balk was

Thompson was showing bunt. I don’t know why they continued to throw to first. It cost them big time!

The Oregon coaching staff had to decide whether to crash the plate for a squeeze play or sit back. On the balk, the coach decided to crash, however, the pitcher didn't get the message(sign).
The pickoff throws were to get Paul to tip his hand whether the squeeze play was on or not.

By the way, I would have bunted twice once we had the 2nd and 3rd situation with no outs. It worked out. I’m happy!

So bizarre. Everybody and their mother knew he wasn’t running
Idiots like you probably bitch about coaches

I think he was about as rattled as it comes. Was trying to buy time to calm himself down. Would take a true elite to come back from being that rattled.

Exactly. People on here question coaching decisions and then show they have no idea what they are talking about

There's a ton of armchair coaches here and most of them are clueless.

Yes everyone blaming the pitcher and saying he was scared to pitch and Beloso wasn't going. He ultimately made the mistake and missed the sign but everything leading up to that is on the coach. He's the one to me that showed he had no clue what was going on. He tried so hard to figure out what LSU was trying to do. 1st pitch they showed bunt then take a strike. Confused the frick out of him. After that LSU obviously showed nothing so he had no idea what was going on.
