Still don’t understand the logic of Oregon’s pitcher to keep picking off Beloso

So bizarre. Everybody and their mother knew he wasn’t running

Even Beloso was really confused by the 3rd one

Was sniffing out signals for the squeeze play. Over thought it.

I was to get Thompson to show bunt, they overthought that one

I think it was the mental yips. Couldn’t control nerves to pitch maybe?

He even kept trying to go after Thompson who was on second at the time I believe? He was paranoid of the base paths the entire time

it wasn't about Beloso, it was about seeing if the batter would show bunt so the fielders could crash in.

They took their pitcher out of his rhythm and gave us the game.

It didn’t have anything to do with Beloso, they were confirming we were going to squeeze and setting up their play.

Also trying to throw Thompson’s rhythm off. Just like when you’re crushing your drives all day and you get caught up behind a slow fivesome on the golf course. It’s bush league but works. I’m glad it back fired on him.

Agreed, if he didn’t hit the first bunt I think Paul was gonna let him swing after that regardless

Because he took the next pitch.

It was the pressure. He got confused and lost confidence in his pitching. He was just stalling to try to settle down. LSU put tremendous pressure on him and good things happened
