Stevan Ridley, RB (Broncos)
Once upon a time a 1,000-yard rusher for the Patriots, Stevan Ridley’s career has come to a screeching halt. Ridley had a breakout season in 2012, rushing for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns with the Patriots. He fell out of favor in New England due to fumbling issues, and then his career was derailed by a knee injury suffered in 2014. Ridley has found a difficult time coming back from the knee injury and will likely just bounce around from workout to workout over the next few months. He might not see another carry in an NFL game. Hope LSU signs him. We could use him next year no doubt.

He's had an enigmatic career, both in college and NFL. Seemed to never garner the spotlight at LSU and had a solid 2012 season, but could never capitalize on that.

Living in the Denver metro area, I can tell you that the media was real high on him during the preseason. They repeatedly mentioned him as being one of the better running backs on the team. They drafted a running back this year( I think), and Jamal Charles was picked up as well. I will be highly surprised if he isn't picked up by another team. I still think he has a few good years left.

I honestly didn't like him at lsu . Thought he was an overachiever in the pros to be honest. The king of 2.5 yards a carry

I just thought he was not very dynamic compared to others. He just simply didn't do much for us. Am I wrong?

As I recall, the 'fumble problem' that really put him in the dog house with Belichick was in a playoff loss against the Ravens. (Jan. 2013)

He took a really hard hit -targeted, I thought (might have even been Ed Reed who hit him, can't remember), got concussed, and dropped the ball. Pretty much was the end of the game as far as any possible comeback chance.

Anyway, I'm a big Pats fan but the way Ridley was treated by Belichick after that still makes me salty. I mean the guy was obviously knocked out -his arms locked upright for a second- and to blame him for dropping the ball in that situation was not right, IMO.

Ridley was never quite the same after that in terms of favor from the team or his performance...

Sorry you never watched an LSU game before 2012.

He still beat the average lifespan for RBs in the league. Made good money and a decent pension. Yall are acting like a bunch of bitches. Dude had a solid career even if he never plays again.

What percentage of drafted RBs ever have a 1,200 yard season?

With more money and class than you'll ever have. Ridley is a winner on and off the field.

Yep, he'll be set for life on the pension alone. He's already "won" life at this point. Kudos to him for sticking this long in the league.

And everyone knew we couldn't throw the ball either. Even more so than usual.
