Sternberger slapped ground with both hands after our recovery, he thought he fumbled. Ref couldn't make that call in real time, happened too fat. Replay booth s/h ruled a fumble, game over. He fumbled.

LSU lost the game, and the replay booth did not see evidence enough to determine that the ruling on the field was incorrect. Hope I didn't post any spoilers.

Then they need to get rid of replays, he fumbled and he knew it.

It’s amazing that you think deciding not to review a play is the same as reviewing it. An official review is way more in depth, it has no time limit like a running play clock, they can go back and forth with different views as many times as they want until they’re comfortable with decision to confirm. There is way more diligence in an official review obviously, and that play was critical and deserved the diligence.

The booth official made a poor decision to not have that play reviewed.

This isn't even a cogent thought.

OK. That's your opinion. Again, if this is the case, why didn't O ask for a review? Was he able to do so?

I’m not sure if O was allowed to ask or not. If so then shame on him.

What’s your opinion on the play? Do you agree that it wasn’t close enough to call for a review?

It's pretty simple Mo, wise up. Player who caught it knew he fumbled, and replay booth failed in it's sole purpose for being...we good ?

YEP...FUMBLE....GAME OVER! LSU Wins 34 - 31 in OT

That was the BIGGEST MISTAKE by Refs IMO Will NEVER understand WHY that was NOT reviewed??

Worse part about this play is that it wasn’t even reviewed.

The only controversial play reviewed was the knee play because they knew that was ballgame if they didn’t.

There was at least 5 other plays that should have been reviewed and funny all of them would benefited us.

They signal dead ball (which is the same as a whistle)
almost instantly as it's dislodged. It's not something that could have been overturned as to then give LSU possession even if it was a fumble. I presume that's what was communicated to Coach O.

It was the longest transport of a ball without having possesion in the history of football

Nope. I've looked at it frame by frame. The ref doesnt start his incomplete pass hand signals until just after Greedy picks up the ball. I mean it's a bang bang play so I can't fault the ref for the live call. The replay boys got it wrong.

pic 1 - ball is just outside of Greedy's grasp, ref still at his goal line position hands at his side.

pic 2 - Greedy has the ball and is taking off up the field. Ref is just starting to step towards the play from his goal line spot, he is just about to start his hand signals for incomplete pass. Greedy has possession before any hand signal or whistle occurred.

Most definitely a fumble...what chaps my arse more than anything is if LSU farted sideways there was a review...there waan't one on this play...nor there one when one of our TD receptions where our guy came down with both feet in-bounds and total control of the ball and the official close enough to touch him called it incomplete...no review on the interference call on Greedy and the ball was five feet over both their heads

That's not reviewable.

The most aggravating about it to me was how earlier in the game when the ball clearly hit the grass and was incomplete the let the ags run it back for a TD then going to review and overturning. Why not do the same for this play instead of calling it incomplete and not reviewable?
