Don't think it was enough of a football move, maybe needed another foot down or longer possession. We got beat, let it go. Our 1st two possessions of the game set the stage.

This attitude is why the pisspoor officiating in the SEC will never change.

That one was close, the knee down was close, but the 4th down spot is the one you guys should be furious over. No excuse for no measurement, no review, no anything.

I don’t see how it didn’t deserve a longer look than it got though.

I am not aware that they looked at it at all. I was under the impression that they said incomplete and did not review it like a dead ball.

with a thought process like that I bet if you were about to get gang raped you would just bend over and spread your cheeks without putting up a fight. Then after the fact not even go to the police because it wouldn't change what happened.

Two steps is not in the college rule. There are three more conditions but they have to do with going out of bounds and contacting the ground.

"Secures control of a live ball in flight before the ball touches the ground, and touches the ground in bounds with any part of his body, and then maintains control of the ball long enough to enable him to perform an act common to the game, i.e., long enough to pitch or hand the ball, advance it, avoid or ward off an opponent, etc."

If he drops it and recovers it 110% they claim it as a catch.

yep, like turning up field and taking a full step or two towards the endzone which he absolutely did while possessing the ball.

The exact same play happened in the OSU/Michgan game yesterday. Ruling on the field...incomplete pass.

You Tube

Sorry for the poor quality.

Wait, so I'm the one trolling because I've said that it's a close play but is likely correct, while pointing out how replay works, but all of the posters talking about an SEC conspiracy theory to cause LSU to lose the game by having officials make deliberate bad calls are reasonable?

WHAT! I’m sorry, but that shouldn’t be the officials duty.

Did the ball come out of his hands voluntarily? Heck no. It was knocked out.
It was a catch and fumble.
We got jobbed.

Mo Jeaux - I’m not an SEC conspiracy guy it’s pretty dumb really considering A&M is the benefactor it makes no sense. I do believe a Bama bias exists but whatever.

Regarding this thread, if you don’t think this play should have gone for an official review then I don’t know what else to say to you.

But that's not how replay works. The officials in the booth review a play to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to overturn a play on the field and if so, they call for an official review.

What evidence is there to support calling for an official review?
