I don’t think it’s firing time anyway. But whomever replaces him shouldn’t be a “steal” from another team. I’d rather they take a chance on an up and comer than get locked into another retarded contract.

No one knows what will happen yet. The next couple games are very important, one way or another.
That said, LSU doesn’t have to come up with $50m. LSU just has to keep paying Kelly as is. Also, LSU just came up with an additional $10m per year (O’s 4m + ticket increase $5m). O’s checks stop in December, and the new ticket prices were just announced today.
There is absolutely a possibility that Kelly isn’t back in 2026. For anyone to say no chance, that’s just incorrect.
There is also absolutely a possibility that Kelly is back in 2026. If he wins one of the next 2 games, he probably will be back in 2026.
