I know a lot of y'all don't like Stephen A., but he had an interesting observation today about Joe compared to Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. The gist of his take was the Allen has fallen behind Joe and Mahomes. (Hard to argue with that.) But one comment in particular struck me. He said (and I'm paraphrasing here) that Allen does good things but makes too many mistakes. Mahomes gets out of mistakes in ways that no one else can, and Joe just avoids them. He recognizes what we saw in 2019: In addition to his talent, Joe just might be the smartest QB in the game.

And here's another clip from the same session in which Stephen A. basically says that Joe Burrow has that special "something" that says everyone else can just move over; I'm the new sheriff.

On Fri he was saying the opposite. He was asked which qb would he would take if he had to build a team, and he said Allen because of such and such reasons.

this is fantastic - the guy is a magician.

Joe just avoids them

this is just better, but not as entertaining.

I think yesterday's game convinced him otherwise. In the second clip I posted, he said the only way to beat Cincy is to stop Joe. Nothing but praise and confirmation of everything we've all known about Joe since 2019 (beginning with the Fiesta Bowl against UCF).

I can’t stand Stephen A Smith. Having said that, however, I love to watch him right after the Cowboys lose in the playoffs or during the season when they are officially eliminated from the playoffs.

I f*cking hate the Cowboys. Always have.

These guys, in order to stay relevant have get in front of the parade.
I remember when Wilbon, after RG III had some good games, was saying he was the new QB model and would exceed Manning, Brady and all the other leading QBs of the day.

Stephen is correct, Joe has proven he has "It".
If he can stay healthy, it's going to be a great ride.

Regardless of what Stephen A said Burrow has that Tom Brady swagger and confidence about him. Barring injury he should win multiple championships.

Joe Burrow is a human cheat code. There’s no other way to say it. He’s going to build that franchise into a serious, consistent winner. Already has, actually.

We’ll see how a high ankle sprain plays a role in that.

And people can’t make new decisions based on new information? Joe had a great divisional game that put on display all of his talent.

When you say as much as that man does, something is bound to make sense once in a while.
