Interesting. I interact with multiple Ole Miss fans daily and none of them act like that. Sounds like your brother and sisters and their friends might be assholes though.

Some won’t, some will. Just like Ole Miss fans. I know some LSU fans that are the most obnoxious fans I’ve ever met, to the point where I was embarrassed to even be sitting next to them. Every fan base has good fans and bad fans.

I always try to get to know people from other fanbases and talk history, players, tradition, etc. But then again I like meeting strangers that are sports fans. It gives a common ground for conversation. I've never had the urge, as an adult, to talk shite to a stranger in public because of a team they root for. Just kind of weird to me.
