I'm actually not concerned with the program or BK. Yea, we fell short of our expectations this year, but we are ranked and have developed a top ranked offense centered around an arizona state transfer that nobody else really wanted. I think our offense will be fine for years to come and have faith in the system. Defense, yea, it's bad. You probably fire matt house this year, he's getting mopped by every team with a pulse. But the personnel is also weaker than we are accustomed to. These things take time, and building a strong program from the bottom up is important. This is only year 2. Reality is, it's really hard to sustain excellence in CFB. Take a look at the other ranked teams, or coaches we almost hired. They arent doing well. Even Saban is starting to slip a little, playing more close games than usual. Other than Kirby Smart, no other coach in the nation is amazing. And Kirby is getting the out of this world #1 recruiting class every year.

I look at the current rankings:
1. Ohio State - Ryan Day - cant win the big one, starting to lose to Michigan, plays in the weak big 10
2. Kirby
3. Michigan - Jim Harbaugh - cant win the big one, drowned in sign stealing scandal, hasnt won a bowl game in 8 seasons at Michigan, plays in the weak big 10
4. Florida State - Mike Norvell- doing well, in his 4th year, went 3-6, 5-7, & 10-3 before that
5. Washington - Kalen DeBoer - this guy is pretty good, but he plays in the PAC-12, very impressed, ill say this guy is doing better than BK. But still, hasnt even won any conference hardware yet.
6. Oregon - Dan Lanning - doing above average, but coaches in the PAC12 at Oregon, that's a guaranteed 9 wins a year anyway and he only got 10 in his first.
7. Texas - Steve Sarkisian - Year 3, has an alamo bowl loss under his belt, went 5-7 in yr 1 and 8-5 in yr 2. That's hard to do. Big achievement: beating alabama in year 3.
8. Alabama - Nick Saban - hasnt won a legitimate natty in 6 years
9. Ole Miss - Lane Kiffin - guy is good, but has same defensive problems as our current squad. He even brought in Saban's second golden boy Pete Golding and that barely helped
10. Penn State - James Franklin - guy is mediocre and all the records say so

Aside from Kirby, I don't think any of these guys would have more success than BK. Maybe the Washington guy, but I doubt it. The SECw is just highly competitive, only the strong survive. Most fans have little man syndrome to Alabama that makes you unable to enjoy the game. Sorry, you haven't had a dynasty for the past decade. Sorry they are having a dynasty with our old coach. Really doesn't matter. The future is bright for our program and we need to keep fighting. Not giving up because you are grumpy about Alabama's success. The team needs our support and not to be second guessed at every step. We walked into BDS with a patchwork secondary, no linebackers and our #18 out for season and hung with em for 3 quarters. I'm sorry, but that is good. Give BK time to fill in the voids and get his team on the field. We are still ranked and are fighting for the season. None of our losses have been blowouts and some slightly better defensive play would have put us in a winning position.

Other coaches we considered:
Jimbo - we all know how that is going. Glad he didnt come here.
Billy Napier - in a similar position as BK and has done a lot less.

Stop and smell the roses, the sky isnt falling, we will be OK. These games have been fun to watch and we have work to do against Florida and aggie. O yea, and we have a solid class of kids signed up to come play here. And will get another great class the next year.

Go Tigers.

This is absolute bullshite. They had an elite team in 2020 and would have won the Title whether it was a COVID year or not. This is some of the things that piss me off about LSU fans they look to discredit Bama, if LSU won the title in 2020 no one on here would say it wasn't a legitimate Championship.

Sorry but 2020 don’t count I don’t care how “elite” they were or woulda been. Half the teams they played or more had players and not just any players their main guys sitting out the year.

I love when people say this, and think they are being clever.

That is like 20 seconds of reading, and it's too much for you. You call yourself out on being dumb.

And if LSU would have won you would not have that stance.

Absolutely, Saban was just like lebron in 2020 he saw an opportunity to win a title while every other team was weakened by players opting out. I’m sure he gave away a lot of cars that year

We literally have arguably the top offense in the country in year 2 of a COMPLETE REBUILD of the program.

BK will have LSU’s program in a good place very soon.

Define "Very Soon".

What position, aside from OL, do you feel we are on the brink of, not great, but average?

If not for Daniels, Thomas and Nabers, this team would be down with Ms State.

2020 was an asterik year.

shite even A&M went 9-1 with Kellen Mond. That whole year doesn’t really count

You think our offense is great due to the system and not JD? It's ALL JD. If he wasn't here we would have an average offense at best, which is what I expect to see next year.

Next year I'd like to see LSU hold onto a top offense and they defense at least improve to top half of the country.

I know progress isn't linear, but a more complete team would help out.

Hypocritical view. Again if LSU won that year winning back to back Championships you would not call that an illegitimate title.

Got a couple young RBs that look like the real deal.
