Ask Texas a and m about style points....if they would have grinded out long drives and ran out the clock after they put up 44 points....UCLA would not have had enough time to make a comeback....

You think like Sumlin....

Don't complain, you just got 27 pts against one of the better defenses you will face all season.

Put down the keyboard sir! Almost 500 yards offense goes against your thread title... You lost the battle immediately. Yes we all want to see a more balanced attack like 50/50 or 55/45 (ideal) but Canada called the game the defense gave us. We will practice more of the playbook in live games as we continue to learn the new offense and improve. This was the first game and our defense was playing lights out and as I said above Canada ran against a 5-6 man box!

49'er exactly what is wrong with fans today. Obviously ZERO knowledge of the game but most certainly has an exceptional X Box skill set

I think you should get to Victory Hill early this Saturday and wait for the team bus to arrive. As Orgeron and Canada pass by you, yell as loud as you can "You two are cowardly and pathetic...cowardly and pathetic...you hear me?!!?!!

Deep down all y'all feel the same way. We would've beaten BYU if we did toss dive, it's not remarkable to think we couldn't have scored way way more. C'mon the hell on

No, we don’t all feel the same way. We now have an offense that combines some spread concepts with power. It’s a hybrid that’s not easy for other teams to prepare for. If what we saw was the extent of the first week mistakes, then I, like most of our fans, am feeling pretty good.

2003 saw great production from impossible catches from two of the best NFL receivers and an NFL back. With that, we finished middle of the road in most SEC offensive categories. We could have done more with that offense. Compared to years prior to it, it was certainly successful.

LSU is like the only team in football that hides our best plays for half of the year.

I agree with the OP to an extent. IF we are wanting to improve our passing game, byu was the perfect time to do that.

Eta- I don't care about how many points we scored. Perhaps we will start passing more going forward...we'll see I guess.

If we had lost you would be bitching because we did not run the ball enough.

Here's an idea, wait until we don't win by 27, have a defensive shutout, beat the spread by double what Vegas (true experts) thought we should and have less than 479 yards of offense before you start whining and complaining next time. Just a thought. Then again, you appear to be one of those people that are only happy when they are complaining.

There is no reason why we shouldn't have put up 60 on BYU,

That BYU defense is better than you're giving credit for. Excellent tackling, avoided giving up big plays, for the most part didn't bite on misdirection. MS ST is going to have their hands full in a few weeks.
