Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, and Bama will always be a problem. Our schedule is always tough.

The sunshine pumpers that think we will steamroll everyone are delusional. We are really good, but Auburn, FLA, A&M have tons of talent. Every team has bad games during the year. If we play well, the chances are in our favor. But blowing out everyone isn’t going to happen.

I expect both Florida and Auburn to try to limit our possessions with a methodical, run based offense. Fortunately, I'm not sold on either of their offenses and expect some booboos in our stadium. Burrow should be able to slice their secondaries up. We will need to have a healthy defense to keep fresh bodies on the field.

I worry about AU’s long held tradition of chop blocking and Fair(ley) play. Hope we have Ingram back and enough bodies to keep JB healthy bc they will absolutely be bringing their bush league best.

Pat Forde has Aub ranked 3rd in his Fab Four, but he's got LSU 1st!

Yahoo, disregard their title, just watch the video LINK

I’m not saying they’re a bad team by any means, however beating A&M is not a huge deal. I said before the season started A&M is a four or five lost team this year. If LSU was healthy going to that game I think they win.

Auburn and Florida are different versions of the same team. VERY strong front 4 on defense that will cause some issues, solid defense overall, questionable offense. Bo Nix has had a couple of big moments so far, but if you watch the flow of that A&M game, he really just kind of barely did enough there to get the win. Same against Oregon. Overall unimpressive game but their defense kept them in it. Florida's offense looked okay with Trask against Tennessee, but ... Tennessee. I need to have more than that to be worried about the Florida offense.

Both of these teams will want to do what Vandy tried to do ... establish the run early and try to get a lead or keep it close in the first quarter. Welp, Vandy scored first after running it on us and then promptly fell off the planet as our offense just lambasted them. I expect the same against AU and UF. They will score, and it will seem like a game, but they will not hold us under 45 points. I don't see them scoring 46, so ... two wins. Hard fought? Sure. In question? Nah.

Alabama is another animal altogether. Their front seven is banged up even worse than ours, and their defense can definitely be had in the passing game this year. Great news for us. What's there to worry about? Like 85% of their offense is throwing short to incredibly athletic and gifted receivers and backs and letting them YAC it down the field. Against a normal LSU defense, I would be champing at the bit to get this Alabama team this year. However, our weakest point this year has been sound tackling of receivers across the middle of the field. If we don't sort that out soon, Ruggs, Waddle, Smith, and company are going to have big days like Duvernay from Texas did, and we'll be tasked with winning another shootout on the road. Much tougher task.

Bama is still the problem. Auburn and Florida are just potholes along the way.

Why, everybody seems to forget how we are only playing with half our dLine . Been dealing with injuries and suspensions since start of the season. That’s all behind us as far as major players after US game.

I don’t care how great our offense is Auburn, Florida and Bama are most likely going to be tough. If our defense didn’t have issues I feel we could easily beat Auburn and Florida by 21 points but right now we can’t rely on the defense to shut teams down

Bo Nix had 100 passing yards saturday and is completing 54% on the year.

He was 9/31 entering the 4th quarter vs Oregon before Oregon defense went full tard.

I'm not worried about him beating us

Auburn has the best defense LSU will face in the regular season. I'd be shocked if we're able to gash them for 40+ points.

Wrong. As far as mismatches go, Florida looks to give us more trouble as their d combines a good pass rush and DBs.

Auburn may be better overall, but they’re built to stop the run and get pressure on long developing plays.

Agree,I think UF is actually a pretty big threat with that qb and their defense. Going to have to play well to beat the top end of the sec this year.

Yes need to be ready and prepared for this Utah State team they're no push over and a much better team than Vandy...They're 2-1 just beating undefeated SDSU most likely going to 3-1 before coming into Death Valley! They have a high rolling offense(qb) and a good defense ! Their only lose is to Wake Forest who is also undefeated !
