Smith And Jersey wolfenberger need to step up, those two are lazy

What happened to Mjracle, did Kim put her in. She has said repeatedly she is our best defender. We could have used her, our defense wasn't up to our standards (except for steals).

Pray and hope Smith and Wolf improve enough in time for SEC play.
Wolfenbarger, despite her height, is more of a small forward playing outside than a banging post player inside. Some folks on here were like “Oooh! She’s 6-5!” and thought she’d be Jokic.
We whiffed in the portal not being able to land another capable big. We definitely missed Angel Reese in a game like this.

Well good news is no one in SEC runs an offense like this where it leaves your bigs on an island trying to defend the 3
Very different playing defense that way vs others styles like we did vs Nc ST (who we dominated)

Yes, she’s already said she’s in no rush to leave & expects to do all 4 years. She seems to love college.

Gilbert… wow. What an additional out of the portal to go with our stars. She’s what we needed attacking the rim
She has been clutch a lot and has made some big time plays this year. And wasn’t she the one among the transfer guards that some thought there was a chance she could be a locker room cancer because of past problems?

Kim definitely needs to get a big post player in the portal. Wish list would be another Angel Reese-type. Don't think Rosario is the answer, high expectations of her since she was highly touted #7/#6 recruit 2 years ago. Thought she would be a monster on the inside.

I definitely thought this regarding ADR. That was the expectation.

Really loved what I saw from Williams tonight. Yes, she scored 32 pts but, more importantly she was AGGRESSIVE / ASSERTIVE. It felt like up to this point, the only one who was playing with that mindset on the perimeter was Johnson. I'm hoping this has lit a fire under Williams moving forward. We're going to need more of THAT attitude moving forward.

Defense was the problem tonight. We gave up 10 layups on backdoor cuts and 4 going around screens.
Williams and Gilbert were clutch and need to be a bigger part of the offense.

I believe it is mostly mental for her. She has had (rare, unfortunately) episodes in games where the switch was flipped and she played well. She is too nice and too passive. It looks like it is from a lack of confidence in herself to me. If she could flip that confidence switch I think she would be a much better player.
Glad to see Mikayla break out of her funk to start the season. She looks like she has been putting in the work and has gotten herself back into playing shape versus the beginning of the season.

I still think it is way too soon to write of Del Rosario, only ten games into her sophomore season. Some kids take longer to develop, and then you throw in the fact that she's been doing rehab from injuries two summers in a row and you can get a slower than expected improvement. Let's see what she gives us the rest of this season.

Even if she was playing in top form this Stanford offense would be a terrible matchup for her.
