Why would they fire any staff before early signing day unless they have other coaches in place?

Idk, but if I was a recruit and I signed then all of my coaches that I just committed to got fired the next week, I'd be pretty pissed.

signing day and NFL positions becoming available is the hinge point with all of this

Because purely the act of firing House will attract more recruits on the spot. If we fire House, I imagine we would have two five stars sign with us completely out of thin air

Genuinely not sure if serious.

The longer that this plays out it is pretty obvious BK is going to let House find a position coach role in the NFL. Which means it won’t be announced until January like he did with Polian. Evidently, BK is selling lack of talent/experience on defense on the recruiting trail and it appears to be working. As long as he replaces House w a good DC I’m happy.

Stop and take a deep breath. This is College Athletics.

It’s an entertainment. It’s not Cancer. Reprioritize the things that make you “shite yourself” lol.

There's no way this is real.

Will Coach Jenkins be returning?

Possibly in camp but the man is pretty up there in age and I’m not sure wants to or even can grind out an entire season of actual staffing.

Unfortunately, I don't think House is getting fired. I think it's a mistake but I also understand there's a cost associated with firing and hiring coaches. Miles died on the hill of having horrible offensive play. I hope BK doesn't die on the hill of horrible defensive play. It's too early in his tenure to tell but with the transfer portal and NIL, things change faster in cfb than they used and many teams are constantly improving. A prolific offense lead by a Heisman QB was just wasted, BK need to get things together fast.

I would think Jenkins goes to an analyst role if he decides to stick around

I don't think he will be fired. I think there will be a wholesale change in position coaches. Handcuffed by talent and experience? Maybe. But elite technical coaching and film study habits make up for some of that. I would have rathered getting burned fighting than sitting back and getting steamrolled. What were the position coaches teaching?

Kelly mentioned early last week that the first week after the regular season (two weeks ago) was player evaluations, last week was recruiting, this week is, supposedly, staff evaluations.

Did he?

He said “once recruiting goes dead & our coaches responsibilities have been completed, they have to finish off their responsibilities to LSU, then we’ll do evaluations of staff”

Why would you think that’s before Early signing period on 12/20/23?

Possible worse than Malveto, Pelini or even Tepper. That's how bad it was.
sad, but reality.

Pennywise, no DL Coach and DB coaches on the chopping block.

Recruits love it!

I'm about as patient as they come, but this is taking a little too long for the Ax to fall.

I was afraid that might be the case. Maybe retain him as a consultant and allow him to come and go on his scooter as he can and feels right. I thought he was a big midseason adjustment asset, but am genuinely concerned bc he didn't always look healthy out there.

I kinda wonder how effective the staff will be on the recruiting trail if they think they’re dead men walking.

And how much do the prospective recruits keep up with this? Why would they bother talking to a coach that’s on the hot seat as bad as these guys are?
