Taylor must have struck out the side in the top of the 5th that I missed. I'll amend my stats accordingly.

Floyd and Taylor's free passes hurt them, it seems.

Floyd's first walk put a run across in the first inning for his only earned run. Taylor's first walk scored on a passed ball for his only run given up.

Found the casual.

Thompson hit .286 with a 16% K rate last year, had a 1.26 K to BB ratio and an OBP that was nearing .400 with a OPS over .800. What are you talking about? His mid season form is actually a really solid hitter.

I know it is early and cool weather, but pitchers look strong.
Taylor with 8Ks on 11 outs recorded.

Like seeing the SB from Tre, know that knee injury was limiting him last year

Tre also made two outstanding picks on ground balls to 1st and robbed Merrifield of a 2b with a caught line drive.

Taylor’s walk was likely due to the home plate ump leaving the game. There were two very close pitches that were called balls to Guidry. Imo at least one of them was a strike. Also, in that inning, Guidry stole 3rd and scored on a PB. Those were on the 3rd catcher. There is definitely a difference between the top two catchers and everyone else behind the plate.

Thrown by who?

He said ground balls to 1st. My assumption reading the post is he made picks on balls hit to him.

One of the grounders to Tre was a toss to Cooper covering with time to spare!
