maybe the first real "leaper" LSU ever had.
The Astronaut.
Publicity went to his head and left college one season too soon but that bro could sky.

Sure do. He could fly. That team had The Cookie Man Greg Cook, The Black Jet Willie Sims, Rudy Macklin and Ethan Martin. Damn good team.

I remember your dad. Wasn’t Mark Alcorn on that team who shortly afterwards passed away of cancer?

Disco Duane DeArmond. Used to watch him play at Redemptorist. Good times.

Howard Carter, what a shot, all the way from the parking lot! Hi-C!

The scary part was that Scales was 6'9.

E Eric Guirard the local attorney in Baton Rouge is the one who wrote the song TIGERS TO THE TOP in 1980. It was corny as hell but it actually caught on because nobody else did a song about them but him.

Willie Sims was Jewish, BTW. I think he ended up immigrating to Israel.

Part of the Redemptorist pipeline ... DeArmond, Hackabee, Hi-C, Taylor, Duhe. All contributors to the Golden age of LSU basketball. RIP RHS.

Jordy Hultburg was on that team as was Instant Offense Tyrone Black from BRHS if I recall correctly
Posted on 1/16/19 at 7:12 pm to TigerBR1111
Jordy never saw a jump shot he wouldn't take.

Clearly would be deemed racist in our snowflake society.

Yes they were. Throw in John Tudor for good measures.
