Manieri teaches that if a throw from outfield has to be cutoff, then the runner will likely be safe anyway. So they are not allowed to relay ball home. Instead, they are taught to catch ball on throwing hand side to be set to throw to another base. Totally unorthodox and goes against normal baseball strategy.

After today, is there any path to a regional? I know we were still a 3 seed in a lot of mock brackets before this weekend but will probably fall out after today.
