Phipps now ties his longest outing of the season at .2 IP and allowed no runners. Best outing of the career for the soft-throwing lefty.

Honestly, when Cooper is on I always thought he was the best guy out of the pen in terms of control. When we lose the postage stamp strike zone I think he can do some damage. He relies on the black a lot when he is effective.
Seems like he has induced popups more than anyone else out of the pen but I have no real data to back that up.

Both of those to the SCAR hitter were strikes.
Guess he has an argument that if the first one isn’t a strike then neither should the second one be, but still.

This is sad, but here is the mindset of these SEC umps:
Squeeze for one team, they go up.
Makeup squeeze for the other, they come back.
Then when they decide they've made up for it enough, back to a normal college baseball strike zone.
It's everything that officiating baseball shouldn't be about. But the SEC has found a way this year to not make it about the players and put it in the hands of these idiots. Terrible product.
