yea, his recruiting was great, but almost too good. Reminded me a bit of Ole Miss football that year they signed 5* s from all over the country.

I knew Wade was a great recruiter, but he immediately got a 5* from NJ, a 5* from Florida, and 4* s from Connecticut, Florida, and of course Baton Rouge. If i’m being honest, that raised a red flag. It was just too good, too fast.

That it's really unfortunate he got caught and didn't use a bagman/booster network like the bluebloods do. You can tell from his conversation on the wiretap that there's clearly an established market he's participating in. He's not some rogue coach who got the novel idea to start operating this way. Probably every major program, and some mid-majors, do some version of this. Just bad luck with the FBI wiretap

I mean I know this has been said before but there are other explanations for those commitments. Waters was committed to Georgetown and changed after a coaching change. Reid's GF played for LSU and he developed a good relationship with Smart over camps and AAU. Williams had legal trouble that threatened his career. Days was a lower level 4 star prospect so LSU made sense for him. And Smart is from BR and was most strongly considering Kentucky who signed two PGs ranked higher than him (Hagans and Quickly) in addition to having former McDs All American Quade Green back as well. I don't think that set off TOO many alarms. Honestly I think the Ben Simmons signing was much more alarming considering LSU just never seems to be in the running for the consensus #1 player in basketball.

Our compliance department and AD continues to work against LSU in order to get Attaboys from the NCAA and the media. It has been proven over and over that non-cooperation is the way to go. These people put the interests of the NCAA, SEC, and most importantly themselves before LSU’s, its players, and coaches. Clean the house.

So the coach and player that cheated are heroes and the AD trying to do the right thing is scum. I really despise our fan base.

All of you should be pissed at Wade for being an idiot, not Alleva. Trust there are plenty of things Joe has done that pisses me off. This isn’t one of them. He is doing the right thing.

Will the outcome be any different if he just rolled with it? Maybe not, but at what point does integrity come in to play. LSU fans are quick to judge other schools for their dirty ways, but you want LSU to do the same.

I’ll be out there tonight cheering on the tigers and wondering what could’ve been if Wade was smarter.

If I'm Will Wade, I resign the day after LSU's season ends, and if I'm Javonte I transfer the moment I could. If I'm those two guys, I'm not coaching or playing for an administration that has shown an unwillingness to go to bat for me or have my back. They've left me out in the rain once and they'll do it again. They deserve better.

They put their self in that situation, not the administration. Typical way of the world blame everyone else when you frick up.

And I promise Wade won’t be coaching anywhere anytime soon. Smart probably won’t be an to play anywhere either.

Thanks for the post, but that's fricking sad. Ok, not admitting guilt, going to sit him anyway. For what? If he cheated, every game will be vacated. This one game doesn't mean shite if the rest are vacated.
