bk before the sec championship says he has 2 really good quarterbacks. Nuss being the other. IT was Nuss that he played. It was Nuss he stuck with. BK could have absolutely played Walker and not affect his RS status.
Am i judging Walker or saying he should enter the portal. Not at all. But the bullshite is that Nussmeier and the portal have been put into the same sentence for over a year now on this board and its all 100000% bullshite. bullshite. No apologies by anyone.

if you want Walker Howard as your QB of the future then Nuss would be the one that would have to leave, whenever that is. That opens the door for Howard to take all the reps with the 2s and have a crystal clear path to the starting job in 24.
If Daniels leaves this year, then you have Howard vs. Nuss for the starting job for presumably the next 2-3 years. Does Nuss have a leg up due to his experience (albeit not much) and 2nd half showing?
We don't know what Howard brings to the table yet, but we know his ceiling is the highest of all 3. We have seen what Nuss brings. Gunslinger mentality with the ability to make plays but also the knack for turning the ball over just as much.
The question you ask yourself is why Howard would stay at LSU and take scrub team reps when he could be getting significant time and reps elsewhere that needs and has a starting QB slot wide open.

Guys, Jayden Daniels’ decision doesn’t affect Walker. It’s Nuss. If Nuss is still ahead of Walker this spring, it decreases his reps and blocks his path to starting. If Jayden leaves and Nuss wins the starting job, chances are Walker is still leaving at some point. He’ll sit behind JD5 for a year. He doesn’t want to sit behind Nuss for multiple years.

But with Walker being better than Nuss, he'll play before Nuss. Only way Walker ain't QB1 next year is if JD5 returns. Otherwise we'll see #14 running the show.
