Last year someone made a thread about LSU guys who have entered the portal as well as the offers LSU has extended to players in the Portal. Hopefully someone will start that up again soon.

I'll never be on the side of "make them play" after seeing what happened to Jaylon Smith at ND and Jake Butt at Michigan. Smith was a lock as a top 10 pick and the injury in the bowl game made him fall into the 2nd round. Jake Butt won the Best TE Award and was predicted to be a 2nd Rounder and his injury turned him into a 5th rounder and he never really stuck with a NFL team. Yes it looks like people are skipping out and being soft, but more often than not they are trying to not ruin their shot at receiving the generational wealth that they worked so hard to earn.

Have a feeling we are going to be very aggressive in the portal again for DBs. Definitely our biggest area of need and it's not particularly close.
