This whole charade, wearing a boot on the sideline, I'm over it
Good riddance!
Play the guys that want to play.
And yes I do think his stock will suffer and getting drafted in the teens or twenties or even in second will cost him millions
Only good thing is you might end up with a better team

Hes not going top 5. For sure first round, but somewhere between 15-20.

Yes, I obviously agree
Could not understand how this was handled so poorly
His hype was so substantial that he never had a chance to play up to it, and his performance will never get there, based on what he has done when faced with guys that will also play on Sundays
And I know that sounds like a cheap shot, but his best games have definitely been against weaker competition. Even the Georgia SECCG didn't include GA's best receivers
All were injured before or during that game. He is still going to have a pretty good NFL career IMO.

He is indeed only 20. That's a valid point. And if ANY family on the planet knows what a football injury can do its the Stingleys.
But the more the NFL is paying players, the less headaches they want to deal with. Stingley SR appears to be somewhat of a headache who might want to dial it back the closer the inevital decison for JR to turn pro .

As a father, you have to protect your kid from themselves sometimes. I remember Coach O doing something similar for Fournette.

some gm is going to waste a first round pick on him…

This is false... stop stirring the pot.
Jr told dad that he felt fine a few days after injuring it in camp which made them optimistic about passing up on surgery this time and just letting it heal.
Sounds as if they want to give him a few weeks to heal/rehab and hopefully he can come back for the Florida or Ole Miss game.

Stingley has taken his last snap for LSU.
Posted on 9/27/21 at 1:54 pm to tibebecolston
The kid has a serious injury, he’s not faking shite or trying to opt out. This type of injury can jeopardize his future in the NFL if he doesn’t get it fixed. It’s a huge red flag for NFL docs. Stingley won’t see the field the rest of the year.

Who cares at this point, tired of the primadonnas

The kid is a good player with the potential to be great. Unfortunately injuries have limited tgd success he could have had at LSU.
But while it’s a loss how much will we miss him? Sone sure; however, he doesn’t dominate a game and he can be replaced by a good player. It’s not as he’s a Brooks, Dorsey or a Honey Badger type force.
He is very good, but not in a position where he can wreck sn offense.

He has the ability to shut down an entire half of the field. His ability to impact a game will never show up on a stat sheet, but he absolutely has the ability to wreck an offense.

Yall said the same shite about Chase. Fools even said Marshall would be drafted higher lmao. Stingly doesn't make it out of the top 10 no matter how much it's hurts your feelings.

LSU defense is better without him
Posted on 9/27/21 at 2:28 pm to Cigar
He’s not injured and won’t be returning this year. Let’s call it what it is, an opt out.

He does in conjunction with other good players, but on our team he isn’t that important. Look at UCLA game and the State game.
Now I’m not saying he’s not a top player but it is easy to scheme away from him. Compare his presence to a top DL or LB. look at a guy like the Honey Badger. You can move him around, blitz him? Drop him in coverage, etc. A cover corner is on an island where he can be isolated.
